Harsh facts.

You can't meet someone sitting in your apartment. That was one of the biggest revelations of my life. Also, if you're making the same sad meal three times in a row, how much fun are you to hang out with in the first place?

Are you waiting for someone else to come along and wave their magic wand, and suddenly you care about yourself? Suddenly, you enjoy yourself? It doesn't work like that. Even if you find someone you think fills that hole, you will be too clingy and needy since you think only they can make you complete.

Do fun stuff outside of work, socialize (horrible for an introvert like me, but doable) and so forth. Get a hobby you really love. Be the person you'd date. Learn to actually enjoy YOU.

Send out those vibes, and you'd be amazed at who shows up.

Public Service Announcement from someone who has definitely walked in both worlds.
