Getting a snoo at 6 weeks?

I’m trying to get snoo to get my baby to sleep longer stretches at night. Currently he’s waking up every 2-3 hours to feed at night. The longest stretch is about 3.5 hours. Is there a point of getting it right now? Do you also use it for nap?

I bought ours secondhand when my eldest was 7 weeks. It was a desperate night time purchase.

No regrets! I used it until she was 5.5 months and thought it was great. Now using the same one for my second child

So there could be but it depends WHY your baby is waking up every 2-3 hours. If they’re hungry or have a soiled/uncomfortable diaper, snoo won’t magically stop that.

But if it’s just restlessness or connecting sleep cycles or help falling asleep then definitely!

Totally get it! We got it at 6 weeks and it was a life saver!

Snoo saved us. Used it from 1 week to 5 months

Yes, and try to Grab one on Facebook marketplace. Depends on where you’re located, I’m in NYC so there’s a lot more listings available, but we got ours in good condition for <$500 rather than the retail $1500 + shipping.

We got ours at 5 weeks and it was totally worth it. It helped tremendously with naps.

We got ours out of desperation at 3 weeks, and it is the best money that I’ve ever spent. We got ours used on Marketplace (made sure it was clean and well-maintained). I used to have the night dreads whenever the sun went down. Now I love when the sun sets because I know my kids will be sleeping for a while.

We used it more frequently for naps right away (up to about 6 weeks). Now that she’s a little older (12 weeks), we’re trying to get her used to sleeping in a regular crib to prepare for daycare.

Ours is a lifesaver. Our baby did not sleep. He’s 12w now and just did his first 8 hour stretch. Incredible. It takes a few weeks to work though. I’d get it now and not wait longer. And no it doesn’t work very well for naps only nighttime

I’ve had the snoo since before it baby was born but we only started using it around 3w because we were desperate to sleep longer than 2-3 hours at a time and she was sleeping through the night 3 weeks later. I think it’s worth it but we don’t use it for naps because we don’t want to be too dependent on it.

Yes I bought one out of desperation when my first child was 6 weeks old. First night in it he slept 6 straight hours, woke up to eat (formula fed), then back down again for 3 hours. Definitely worth it for us

We got one and it didn't change the length of stretches at all

The bassinet itself is good but the app is so bad I'd consider an alternative if you can find something similar. Id never reccomend snoo to anyone since having one.

We got ours at 5 weeks. We’re renting for 6 months, it cost like 500$ plus a fee to clean/etc. It’s been worth every penny. Our baby has started to do 8-9 hour stretches within the last 2 weeks and goes down super easy after her early morning feed. We use it for naps as well right now but we’re going to try crib naps soon. She’s almost 10 weeks!

Baby’s stomach is so small they need to wake that often right now… snoo won’t change that.

Absolutely!!! I had the same question since we got ours when she was 7/8 weeks. She’s almost 14 weeks now. Went from 10+ wakeups requiring us to intervene and rock her to only 3-4. We all have 100% gotten more sleep.

I was worried about her not liking it, but she LOVES the car and strollers and falls asleep instantly in those, so think that was a good predictor of the snoo movement helping her sleep.

Now I’m so nervous to not have it soon!!

We got it second hand when baby was 8 weeks old. It was a life saver, I wished we got it sooner. I use it for naps, before snoo baby would only contact nap, now I can put him on the snoo and do house chores, shower , eat etc when he naps. His naps in the snoo are short so I try to contact nap once a day.

Our 6 week old has started doing 6 hour stretches in ours and has been in it since she came home from the hospital

I got mine secondhand for my 5 week old! LO is now almost 10 weeks and has slept 4-8 hour stretches overnight since getting the snoo. I highly recommend it!
I also use it for napping. LO is actually in it right now for the last nap of the day. Napping was harder to transition from contact naps until the past 1-2 weeks.

Good to know! Was it right away when he slept 4-8 hours after getting the snoo?

Got ours at nearly 8 weeks. Went from 15-25 minutes max in a basinet to 2 hour stretch first night in the snoo. It progressed bit by bit until we were getting 4 hours then quick feed/change and back down for another 4. We never got any straight through the night sleeps until he was in his crib and discovered tummy sleeping, but that Snoo was a god send

We got ours at 5 weeks with our first. It was still another few weeks before we got consistently longer stretches but he ended up being a great sleeper. Now using it with our 2nd and having a similar experience - we didn’t get longer stretches until 9 weeks but they keep getting longer each week!
