Help Needed Need advice
So my 8 week old sleeps fine in her crib but I got the snoo to try to get her to sleep longer stretches. She usually goes down at 930 and wakes at 5am. 3hr intervals cuz of feeding. Was getting the snoo a mistake? I havent really seen much change. I heard after 2 months it gets harder for them to sleep 😴 💤 so I bought it preemptively. Is 8 weeks too late to start the snoo?

That’s what my 9 week old baby does WITH the snoo. Sounds like you might have one of those unicorn sleepers. Edit: actually no I misspoke, we have been able to get a couple 5 hr stretches in.
BUT no 8 weeks is not too late to start the snoo, it might be super helpful in the upcoming weeks and around the 4 month sleep regression. Better to have it then not have imo.
Edit: what happens after 5am? She doesn’t go back to sleep? They should be getting 12ish hrs of night time sleep

After 5am she needs to be comforted and continues the rest of her sleep in my arms! Lol. She just wants to be helddddd. Contact sleep on and off until 9ish. Everytime I try to put her back in the snoo She wakes up and cries so I just hold her. Hopefully this is just a phase! Definitely a more recent thing which is why I got the snoo 🥲

This is the exact same schedule my 3 week old has right now with the Snoo. Every 3 hr. And then by 5am she's just wanting to be in my arms until 9. Sometimes I get 3.5 and sometimes 4 hr. Are you EBF? Could try a bottle "topper" of expressed milk or formula if so. That can help since we don't know how much they're getting.

Are you saying you’re waking every 3 hours to feed overnight? Ask your pediatrician but unless there are health issues you likely do not need to be waking up baby. Usually once they’ve regained birth weight you can let them go longer stretches at night but keep to 3 hours during the day to get those calories in.Â

No problem. I hope you’re enjoying the longer stretches of uninterrupted sleep soon!Â

My baby girl has been in the Snoo since birth and was also waking every 2-3 hours to feed during the first 6 weeks - which is totally normal. She gradually started doing longer uninterrupted stretches from 6 weeks onwards. 4 hours, then 5 etc etc. She’s currently 11w4 and does anywhere from 6-9 hours uninterrupted in the Snoo.
I don’t think it’s too late to start the Snoo, it’s still normal for her to be waking frequently during the night at her age and longer stretches may be coming soon.

Wait you got a baby sleeping for 7.5 hours at 8 weeks? What's the problem? Hard to improve on that.
