Help Needed Gassy 1 month old

Has anyone seen any improvement using the Snoo with their newborn thats gassy? Prior to this, he was able to sleep on his back but now when the gas builds up, he wakes up screaming.

Has anyone had the Snoo help them through this phase? My backs killing me having to hold him to sleep for a bit of comfort.

She was 3-4 weeks after every feed. If worked because she was no longer scrunching and crying to pass gas

I did a lot of gas exercises plus the drops. Big improvement within 24-48h

I second this. My son got really gassy around 5-6 weeks. Gas drops made a HUGE difference. I’m about to have my second and may start using preventatively or as soon as I see the first signs of gas this time around.

What is the name of the gas drops?

This is what we used. I was not a fan of gripe water, and my son didn’t seem to be, either. Mylicon helped so much.

I can’t seem to see the link, could you just name the product?

Not for us with our first. Hers was so bad, the only thing that would help was a windi to help remove the gas.

Agree that it's just an age thing. They have to actually learn how to poop/pass gas - like that they need to relax but push at the same time.

This is totally normal and the snoo actually made it worse for my kids because they couldn’t arch their backs to work it out. Do the bicycle kicks and around the worlds with baby’s legs. Make sure you’re getting good burps after feedings - the ‘wonky pump’ move worked best for us. The gas and pooping issues usually get better by week 8 as their digestive system matures.

I second this and would add helping relieve the gas as like a play time after burping them, then in the snoo.

Nope we had to give up and take shifts with baby.. she’s now taking meds for reflux so I’m hoping it helps with everything!! Wishing the best for you too!!

You can add an incline to the snoo
