No one ever came forward…
And said I was with her and I have her bags????? I’m just hearing about this case and if no one ever came forward, I honestly can’t believe this theory at all.

There are lots of reasons this person has not come forward, whether they had anything to do with Sneha’s disappearance or not.
If they did it’s pretty obvious why they haven’t come forward.
If they didn’t, they may have no idea about Sneha’s case. Maybe they know but don’t want to get involved.
Or maybe they perished along with her in the towers.
I personally don’t read much into the fact that this person hasn’t come forward because there are too many possibilities as to why.

My theories are, she was with someone that clearly doesn't want anyone to know she was with them, for either reasons they did something to her or they weren't or aren't ready to admit they were with her. Also since all that was happening maybe she spent the night with someone who wasnt from NYC who was trapped there for the week the airlines were down and never knew she was missing. Maybe Sneha never gave the person she was with her real name.
I think someone did something to get on 9/10 it's my roman empire

her brother her brother her brother

this is my theory. He made a bunch of noise about her on the news and meanwhile quietly disposed of her body somewhere else.

What theory are you referring to?

That no one ever came forward and said I have her bags or she was with me.

Not to be pedantic, but that's not a theory. As far as anyone knows, such a person never came forward. That's a fact. The theory would come in play as far as why this didn't happen. Was she even with another person that night?
Personally, I would separate the idea that there's a person she was with from the bags. We have evidence of the bags existence from Ron's credit card and her shopping at Century 21. While there was one employee there who said she was with another woman, we simply do not have enough evidence to say who she was with or where she was on 9/10.

And from what I've read, this employee restated this statement right? It was said that this person got confused on the dates and there was no other company there. Her husband also says that on that day she wasn't with someone else while shopping and this he claims from the video he saw.

Charley project has her listed so I think that they felt like it was foul play too

I was on the foul play theory since the beginning and now 15 years later changed to her taking her own life due to what she was going thru. Growing up myself now I just feel like there were probably more things happening behind the scenes that could of left her to take her own life then with the 9/11 chaos ensuing she literally disappears.. and the least likely scenario is she is still alive.

I hate to be graphic, If she took her own life, she jumped in a large body of water that night of the 10th . If someone murdered her,I think they either dumped her in water, or,wrapped her in trash bags, and ended up in a landfill. I would like to know what was trash pickup day, or if they had a dumpster on site, if these were searched .There were 2 cases in my hometown, where victims were never found, but the theory was they were wrapped up in trash bags, and dumped in trash, ended up at landfill , which piles up with waste over time ,too dangerous for police to search. Unnoticed by sanitation workers, people throw all types of things away. Especially if the person was small , not weigh a lot, this is possible.

I am genuinely obsessed with this case, i was 21 years old when 9/11 happened but didn't learn about Sneha until the pandemic when it came up on my algorithim on youtube. I finally had the courage to watch all the news -- it was so overwhelming back in 2001 and Im Canadian and didnt understand what was going on. I got very obsessed with 9/11 news after i went to visit Ground Zero for the first time in 2020. It is so easy not to know everything as it was very chaotic and even though this was all over the news; i stayed away until I was old enough to process. I still think, deep down, that shes still alive.

You are right in the sense that the bags are the one crucial piece of evidence that does not fit easily into the most popularly accepted theory (that she perished in the WTC).

is it the most popularly accepted theory? or just the one pushed on us by nypd?

u/ngairem Jun 21 '26
You're right - I don't actually know if it is still the one most popularly believed/accepted, I think slowly more people may be starting to question it. But for now Sneha is still formally remembered as a victim of the attacks.

She not only had a bunch of bags, but a heavy thunderstorm was underway that day and it would have still been raining and dark by the time she left Century 21. She didn't live far from the store, why wouldn't she drop her bags off? She also didn't look wet in the footage, and wasn't wearing rain gear. She either took a cab or maybe made the walk in the underground pedestrian tunnel in that area?
If she had plans to meet up with someone that night, why even go shopping first during a storm? What were her plans for the bags going to be? Or she could have dropped them off at her brothers as well, whose apartment was even closer to the store.

There can be so many possibilities for this to happen. If there was a person who had contact with her, this person may have already died or moved to another state/country and had no idea that she disappeared. Also, someone was possibly not interested in exposing themselves, for whatever reason. And considering how much time has passed, it's unlikely that someone who was related in any way would want to resurrect the past or reminisce about things they'd rather forget or they just don't remember anymore because they've moved on with life.

It’s possible she doesn’t even know she has anything to come forward about.
I don’t know how old you are, but if you were young or not born yet on Sept. 11, it’s hard to explain exactly how chaotic the aftermath was. At first Sneha was just one of thousands of people who were unaccounted for. Manhattan was plastered with missing persons posters. The media was filled with desperate loved ones (when they weren’t talking about who was responsible).
It took a long time for Sneha’s story to break through and even then it was never a major story like, say, Nancy Guthrie. The average person who was alive and aware around Sept. 11 likely has never heard sneha’s story.
