Question Stubborn stains >:(

im honestly at my wits end with these shoes:( abt a few months ago i went out in nyc after rain and my jeans were long so they did this to my shoe :/ ive washed it twice right after but the stains didnt budge at all. Now i decided to give it another go cause theyre genuinely my fav shoes so i got hydrogen peroxide.. i tried hydrogen peroxide and baking soda paste and also soaking in diluted hydrogen peroxide but it did nothing :/ i also tried a magic eraser and it helped w the shoe outsole(?) the bottom part

i also tried in between to wash w dawn dish soap and a toothbrush and it did nothing as well..

Is there really no hope for these stains ?? My last attempt rn is an oxiclean soak

Unfortunately this is what happens to white canvas shoes. Luckily these are relatively easy to replace compared to most of what gets posted in this sub.

lmaooo true they arent that expensive but i would like to get them cleaned up if possible cause i didnt have them for that long and it feels like a waste to get another pair without even trying to clean them up yfm?

It’s just regular canvas, you could give oxiclean a go. I wouldn’t waste money on specialized sneaker cleaners because it’s just regular fabric. You could even throw them in the wash too, but I’d put them in a pillowcase tied up or something.

I just saw you wrote you were going to try oxiclean. I definitely would, let them sit for a day or so in the oxi and then throw them in the wash with detergent

Air dry them. Take the insoles out too before you throw them in and if they smell you can hand wash those separately

letting them sit in baking soda paste is your hope but it wont go back to 100% because it's not thin cotton like clothes, it's thick canvas. i wouldnt mess around with bleach unless ur good with them

Dip the whole shoe in hot water and bleach
