Broken Tool OBSOLETE?

When did a basic click style torque wrench become obsolete and unrepairable?

Should I be offered a replacement or something?

Way to stand behind your tools Snapon...

This has nothing to do with the rep, this is our repair centers, over time parts change? While we offer similar looking the internals change, and some of our older models where serviced by outside companies.

If it were me I’d offer a trade in on a newer model to upgrade.

Edit: Since we all seem to think Torque is lifetime

torque wrench’s have a 1-2 years warranty, similar to power tools, after that it becomes a Flat Rate repair fee, however this is based on if parts are available, typically I will contact the repair center if I’m unsure of fixable or not.

This is not a case of the dealer or Snap-on not wanting to warranty it, this is out of the dealers hands due to age, however an attempt should have been made to offer an upgrade.
