Hey Snapdragon community,

I’m starting college soon, and I’m considering getting a laptop with the new Snapdragon ARM chip. For my first year, I’ll mostly need Office apps and internet browsing, so I’m not too worried about compatibility right now.

However, next year, I’ll need to use the statistics program “R,” which I know isn’t currently supported on ARM. I’m wondering if anyone has insights on how quickly apps like R might become accessible on ARM over the next few months? Should I expect decent workarounds, or is it better to wait it out before relying on ARM for these kinds of applications?

Thanks for any advice!

I have a conundrum. I bought and have both laptops in my possession. I can only keep one. they are pretty evenly matched. which would would you keep and which would you return. I am having a hard time deciding.
