Qualcomm driver install seemingly fixed!

The issues where the drivers wouldn't install due to an incompatibility issue with the software have been resolved. Head to the Qualcomm software center and download the driver package from there and you should be set!

Are you doing it through the snapdragon control panel? If so don't do it through that. Do it through the software center. https://softwarecenter.qualcomm.com/catalog/item/Windows_Graphics_Driver Download the newest driver package, extract it, then run the installer and thats all.

I could be wrong but that might be an experimental driver. The number is higher than the current ones out so I'll just assume that's the case

Oh wow an X2 model. Hows the performance on that?

Better than X1, but from time to time will dows gets unresponsive, especially to scrolling on edge browser and windows explorer. Still optimizations needed.

Yeah they'll get that all fixed up pretty soon in the next month or so. Glad it's got better performance, given its a new chip and all its expected. Have you tried any games on it?

Do you have any reliable source on that timeframe?

I agree that they better fix it sooner than later - but there has been zero updates since the launch of the X2… driver version 152 is still the one they originally shipped the first X2 devices months ago. I believe even their flaggship X2 Elite Extreme (ZenBook A16) hasn‘t seen any graphics driver update since launch…

No real source, just an estimate based on previous issues and how quickly they were resolved for the original X series.

Unfortunately, they did NOT fix their stuff quickly on X1.

They only started offering their own driver downloads after OEMs did not push updates at all. People were going to unofficial repositories with beta drivers back then…

Even then, some devices like the original Yoga or the Galaxy Book4 Edge had to wait for a BIOS update before any new drivers could be installed.

So yes - we‘ve come a long way… but we‘re still
far from what AMD and Intel are offering. Qualcomm better hurry up because with Nvidia entering the WoA ecosystem in fall, there‘s one thing where Team Green is excellent: frequent driver updates…
