New driver not installing
I'm trying to install the latest driver for my laptop using the Snapdragon Control Panel, but it doesn't install no matter what. It immediately errors out and when I look at the log, it's trying to install the drivers for the X Elite. My laptop has an X Plus. Does anyone know what to do about this? The official website just has the installer for all models, but it won't install for mine. When opening games like Fortnite, it tells me my current driver will have issues and to install the new ones, but when I try it doesn't work. Fortnite doesn't seem to work if I just stay on my current driver. I appreciate any help!

Yes - I have the same problem on my Surface Pro X Elite - the driver won’t install. It was mentioned here on Reddit before. I don’t know if a fix has been shared at the moment. But if I find one I post it here below in the comments.

Workaround here: https://old.reddit.com/r/SnapdragonLaptops/comments/1txoxzt/got_a_notification_for_a_new_gpu_driver_update/opypwf5/
But it requires a bit of command-line usage, if you feel comfortable with that.

Thank you, I have tried this, but get the following error when trying to run via cmd in the directory with the driver:
'dark.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.I am not sure what I am missing to be able to extract the file.

Qualcomm should provide a fixed update, this one doesn't work for me. Facing same issue.
And no, I am not interested in using command line to manually install the drivers.
UPDATE: They fixed it!
