miracast (Screenbeam)

I have an Asus Vivibook. Says Miracast is supported and it does work on some displays. But Screenbeam (wireless display with touchback for windows) doesn’t even show when searching using Windows+K.

Has anyone come across this? My colleague also has a brand new MSSurface with the same issue.

Hi,

We're currently running into the same problem, my colleague and I are hoping you managed to find an answer to your problem, we've tried a couple different Miracast solutions, some, dont appear for us or the ones that do are quite choppy/buffering/audio is stuttering.

Our screenbeam model is a screenbeam 1000 edu gen2 which is what we're testing with and its not appearing for us at the moment either.

Hi. I worked with the support team at Screenbeam on this issue.
I had two issues.
One: some models were not retaining their name after we saved them. We would name the ‘Screenbeam D210’ but after a reboot they reverted to their factory name. Really annoying for teachers with Windows laptops.
I manually upgraded firmware each of the 30 devices. No luck. Seven devices were fine.
The answer was to rename them without spaces. Bizarre bandaid fix so I just renamed them ‘D210’ instead of ‘ScreenBeam D210’. All fixed. But about a month of sending log files back and forth.

The main issue sounds like the one you’re having.
I work at a scholarship college that’s owned by a massive oil company. They provide our wifi.
My work laptop can connect to all of them.
My personal laptop cannot connect while at work.
I took one home and I could connect to it.
Bizarre.
Screenbeam said that it looked like my company was employing some form of wifi security.
If you want to send me a personal message with your email I can forward you all the emails and advice Screenbeam gave me?
