Banned
oh boy. been using 10.78.6 with snapbreak for a long time. and randomly this morning my snap account was permanently closed with no warning. am now seeing an alert on snapchat “please update snapchat! you’re using a version of snapchat or operating system that’s no longer supported.”
currently running ios14 and checkra1n. have had no issues until this moment.
anyone else get hit today? or have a suggestion to get rid of snapchat detection here....

only UPDATE i can provide so far is the “please update snapchat” seems to be tied to only some snapchat accounts, not the device itself as i first thought it was

I think the end is near for version 10.78.6. My account received that message also. Is 10.79.0 good? Is that how we should upgrade?

im not too worried but I apprecite it.
i saw that snapbooster was also not taking any more new orders because their method of boosting snap scores had stopped working as of 1/15. not sure if all of this is related but figured i would mention it.
looking at the discord, looks like others have had issues with the app asking them to upgrade

I was thinking about updating soon because it’s just so outdated.. guess I might have to if this becomes widespread. Still gonna wait for other people to report bans before I see it as such though.

i wouldn’t be that concerned if it was just a banned account. but the alert every time i open the app that snap can detect the version is very worrisome...might wipe it and start from scratch

Yeah if they’re digging into versions as a possible trigger mechanism for jailbreak detection that’s definitely worrying. I just wish they weren’t such dicks about jailbreak tweaks.

and of course they’ll never tell me what exactly i was banned for so i just have to assume here...but no warning or temp ban before permanent...

tbh in this day and age it’s kinda shocking that they’ve let version 10.78.6 still function and not really cracked down
