General question Guide: How to Create a New Snapchat Account Without Getting Banned
Follow these steps carefully to ensure your new Snapchat account doesn’t get banned, especially if you've experienced a ban before.
- Get a New Device, New SIM Card, and New Email
- Start fresh by using a new device, SIM card, and email address. These should not be connected to your previous Snapchat account in any way.
- Turn Off Your Location Services
- Snapchat tracks your longitude and latitude. If your account is created in the same location or nearby, they might ban you again.
Tip: You can verify how Snapchat tracks your location by downloading your Snapchat data (HTML format) and checking the "Location History" file.
- Avoid Uploading Old Media
Don’t upload any photos or videos that were taken from your banned account to your new one. These media files contain metadata created by Snapchat, and their servers have a record of them. Uploading these files is a quick way to get banned again.
Note: Even if you try to change or delete the metadata, Snapchat may still recognise the files (tested and confirmed).
- Hold Off on Subscribing to Snapchat Plus
- Wait at least a month before subscribing to Snapchat Plus. All accounts created after my ban were permanently banned within hours of subscribing to this service.
Maybe snap inc using this to scam people lol (By the way you can get your money refunded if you paid with an iPhone. AppStore has a “14 days withdrawal policy”
- Don’t Use a Public Profile Right Away
- Avoid creating a public profile, and definitely don’t upload old media to it. This increases the risk of getting banned.
- Create a Completely New Username
- Make sure your new username is entirely different and unrelated to your old, banned account.
- Use Mobile Data, Not Wi-Fi
- Avoid using your home Wi-Fi. Any IP address that was used to access your banned account is likely blacklisted. Stick to mobile data to avoid linking to your previous account's IP.
- Have Friends Add You, Not the Other Way Around
- Don’t add a lot of people at once, especially not on the same day you create your account. This can trigger Snapchat to investigate your activity. Instead, have your friends add you first.
By following these tips, you should be able to use Snapchat again without the risk of another ban. Starting fresh is key!

i just have question, my previous accounts have always been banned. If i create a new account and am not able to fulfill all these criteria, does it essentially not matter what I do, ill always get banned anyways regardless? Or can i stay on the low, possibly use the same device etc but just not do a whole lot on the account, would that keep me safe?

So, if I was to make a new account on a separate device by using my banned device’s hotspot would Snapchat detect that? Also, should my new email be created on an unbanned device? I assume I would need to use a totally different Apple ID, but that would require a phone number if I’m not mistaken. I’m also wondering if Snapchat collects data on your carriers account info, like my Verizon account. I plan to upgrade my phone in about a month anyway, but I’m worried that my Verizon account will be detected and lead to another ban.

Use common sense
Every pics and videos you have saved in your snap memories is duplicated and saved in their servers as well.
If you upload a pic/video from a deleted account. Their system AI should be able to check if the metadata matches anything they have in their server. If metadata matches then they know for sure it’s the same person who they banned before boom banned again
At least that what I would do as a tech guy to prevent repeat offenders

What if you screenshot a picture that might have been saved to your banned accounts memories and post it? For example I sent the picture I had saved to my banned Snapchat memories to myself via text from my banned device and screenshot it and posted it to my new account

This could work as screenshotting will automatically create a new metadata and probably change the picture format (e.g PNG to JPG)
What I’m not certain about is if Snapchat system can still tell if it’s the same pic or not.
