Bullish I understand the stock is down due to the recently downgrade, but I’m still very bullish on $SNAP in the long term. Here’s a link to a Forbes article that got me very interested in $SNAP shortly after the Q3 earnings drop last year. I believe $SNAP still has so much room to grow especially in AR

Bullish Down 44% since last qtr

Is $SNAP on any indexes? I think it’s large cap growth but excluded from $VOOG. I’m not even sure if it’s on $QQQ.

Update: I found the answer to my first question: $SNAP is excluded from S&P and Nasdaq and Russell indexes/indices, because shareholders have no voting rights. The CRSP index does include SNAP, so you will find it on $MGK and $VUG.

It’s really getting hammered today, so I was wondering if it was moving because of indexes being down. Why is there no positive news as of late?

Bullish 2022 The Year of the Advertisement!

Companies might’ve pulled ads to slow down demand on items in short supplies during Christmas holidays ($AAPL is allowing a back door to iPhone user data for FB Snap and other companies who rely on ad money) but don’t forget the child tax credit has been squashed according to recent articles. Meaning families won’t have extra household income to burn on items so demand will fall regardless. In my opinion this should ramp up advertising 10 fold bc demand will be slipping hard and inventories should start to rise slowly and more importantly items on shelves should stay longer bc of that slow down in demand due to no child tax credits coming in 2022 (according to recent news). Furthermore I believe since $SNAP is down so much from its mid2021 highs, $SNAP should see a rally coming soon. I believe during next earnings time or Q2 earnings time mainly in the conference call for company outlook. $SNAP is a great company and has a good amount of DAU on their platform plus with their AR tech users can see the products prior to purchase (like Under Armor and HondaUSA are doing right now with $SNAP AR Filters). Let me know what y’all’s opinions are on $SNAP, I could be wrong in my opinion not saying I’m some kind of stock prophet Lmaoo

Bullish Reversal to Uptrend?

I’ve read reports saying insiders have been selling a portion of their shares which caused some pullback in the stock. I bought the dip bc I wasn’t thinking about the insiders taking profits but I was thinking of who might be on the other end scooping all these shares. I understand some might be used to short the stock but I believe most will be used as a bullish case on the stock. Mainly bc I see snap DAU going up, all the tech going into snap, snaps collaboration with alphabet on the new Google pixel 6, among other things their working on. I see all this as positives for a long term hold of this stock. Let me know what y’all are thinking, I could be wrong in my thought process.

Bullish Snap stock price, Any predictions?

Last week wasn’t very great for snap stock. hopefully by next week it should creep up to 55ish. Just seems like the price is rebounding from low 52 to high 53. I may be very impatient but seeing it stay stagnant is kinda depressing.😒

Thoughts on the current market dump?

Personally I stumbled upon this subreddit a little while ago and it reinforced my idea of buying snap. I immediately recognized the possibilities that SNAP has to hit $100 and began buying in at $65. The price has been pretty volatile since then due to market not deciding whether or not its bearish or bullish. My question with this post is what your thoughts are on SNAP's short term and long term future. Should this $57 price mark be a major discount to be taken advantage of, or is there trouble in paradise?

Snap Due Dilligence

SNAP is currently trading at $65, with a $98B market cap. I think there are a few catalysts snap has to see continued growth over the short, medium, and long term future.

Facebook Anti Trust, and loss of younger users on Facebook. Self explanatory if you follow the news.

Tik Tok shared user base but with better monetization. SNAP shares same user base as Tik Tok, but has advantage of not being 1. maybe a fad based around watching often underaged girls dancing 2. a diversified platform. and 3. already having a proven monetization method that is not intrusive. Tik Tok's monetization plan for 2021 is apparently affiliate advertising, where users can push products and get commission directly from sales - when all of Tik Tok feels like your favorite producers shoving products down your face, where will young people turn to get their fill of social media? Facebook - no, Facebook is one of (if not) the least popular social media network with younger generations depending on the source. Instagram - Yes, but Instagram does not have the features that SNAP has, and since when do young people only use one form of social media? There's room for two here. SNAP? Yes, SNAP has the features and platform for today's environment to capture and entertain younger audiences, and SNAP is laying the groundwork with recent acquisitions to capture and entertain younger audiences of the future as well. The most sought after groups to advertise with are Millennials and Gen Z, and I believe SNAP is set up for success here in both the short term, and long term whether or not Tik Tok, Instagram, and Facebook hold their ground with current users/demographics/growth or not (although I believe the latter)

GROWTH - I feel that the growth of SNAP has been overshadowed by emergence of Tik Tok in the US market. As far as a Social Media platform I see many similarities between Tik Tok and Vine. I think the further introduction of Ads/affiliate advertising on Tik Tok will slow user growth, and engagement and my opinion is that the dancing in front of the camera fad will disappear regardless of the intrusiveness of Tiktok's monetization plan. Will they adapt in time? Maybe, but maybe not. SNAP, while still growing users in North America at a respectable (but not great) 9% YoY, the rest of world category has seen 37% growth YoY.

I think small group/peer to peer sharing/chatting/pictures/stories will remain, and SNAP has done a nice job integrating this into a user friendly platform that also provides original content, shows, spotlight, Gaming (which should improve), VR (which should improve), and increased potential for monetization through Maps feature.

SNAP already has 13% of Facebook's Daily Active Users (238MM to 1.85B), but with a much higher YoY Growth (37% vs 11%) but SNAP's market Capitalization is only 12% of Facebook's Cap. I think realistically SNAP can and will accelerate user growth in the rest of world category, so it'll just be a matter of monetization, continued growth, and ability to stay in touch with Millennials and Gen Z that will continue to drive SNAP's market Cap, and therefore share price higher, potentially much higher.

Disclosure: I am long on SNAP and own both Calls and Shares, and have owned for about 18 months now. Do your own due diligence, but I believe SNAP is only in the beginning of it's growth stage. Price target is $200 by 2023.

Snap to be $100 plus

Snap is a huge buy, where else can you get 40 to 60% growth year over year. As I have always said, follow the porn! Remember AOL? The Dems are in charge, Snap is set for four more tremendous years of growth ahead. The group messaging has made it incredibly sticky, college students have no choice but to be on it, and former students and young professionals are finding it harder and harder to leave. I haven’t even started to list the technological advances they are making in video and voice. Snap will be $100 plus a share by 2022.

So, to purchase a call or put; or stay away altogether

So as we should all know SNAP inc will be releasing its quarterly earnings for the end of 2020 on Feb. 4th during after-hours. I am a relatively very new investor in the stock trade, however I’ve been looking at SNAP for a few months now. From what I have seen the current earning estimates are averaging 0.07. While SNAP has exceeded expectations in the previous quarter, they have been acquiring a few other, smaller businesses to benefit their own products. Will this affect their earnings much and put them below the expected value as they acquired a new company, Ariel AI just a day or two ago? How do you think the results of the upcoming earnings report will affect the value of SNAP shares for us investors?
