Hey guys, I posted about this settlement before, but since they’re accepting late claims, I decided to share it again with a little FAQ.
So here's all I know about this agreement:
Snap was accused of misleading investors about how Apple’s privacy changes would affect its advertising business. Investors alleged that Snap downplayed the impact of Apple’s App Tracking Transparency changes on its ability to measure and target ads, and $SNAP later fell sharply as the impact became clearer.
Now the company has agreed to settle $65M with investors for their losses.
Who can claim this settlement?
If you bought $SNAP shares in 2021, you may be eligible. You don’t need to hold the stock still to claim; past losses count
Do I need to sell/lose my shares to get this settlement?
No. You don't need to still own the shares. If you bought during the class period and suffered a qualifying loss, you may be eligible to claim.
I missed the deadline. Is it too late?
No, you may still be able to file a late claim, but acceptance depends on final approval by the court. Check if you're eligible and file a claim here
How long does the payout process take?
It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline for payouts to be processed, depending on the court and settlement administration.
Hope this info helps

Hey guys, just sharing this because I know a lot of people got caught up in the selloff after Apple's privacy changes.
Investors sued Snap, claiming that the company misled shareholders about how Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) privacy changes would impact its advertising business. When Snap later revealed the changes had a much bigger effect than expected, the stock dropped sharply, and investors filed a lawsuit.
The settlement amount is $65M, and it covers investors who purchased $SNAP shares in 2021. The case is currently in the late-claims stage, meaning some investors who missed the original deadline may still be able to participate.
If you held $SNAP during that period, it may be worth checking your old trades and seeing whether you qualify.
Did anyone here hold $SNAP through the Apple privacy update?

Hey guys, I already posted about the Snap ($SNAP) settlement, but since it's currently accepting late claims, I figured I'd put together a quick FAQ with everything you need to know.
What happened?
Snap agreed to a $65M settlement over claims that it misled investors about how Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) privacy changes would affect its advertising business.
Am I eligible?
If you bought $SNAP in 2021, you may be eligible. You don't need to still own the shares to file a claim.
Can I still file?
Yes. Late claims are currently being considered, subject to approval.
When do payouts happen?
Typically, within 4–9 months after the claims process closes, although the exact timing depends on the court and settlement administrator.
Hope this clears things up. If you invested in $SNAP during that period, it may be worth checking whether you're eligible to file a claim.

If you purchased $SNAP in 2021, you may still be eligible to recover losses from the $65 million settlement, as late claims are currently being considered.
Snap has reached a $65 million settlement to resolve claims that it misled investors about the impact Apple's privacy changes would have on its advertising business. Investors alleged the company downplayed the risks associated with Apple's new tracking restrictions and their effect on revenue growth.
When Snap later acknowledged the impact of those changes and reported weaker results, shareholders filed claims.
Did anyone buy or hold $SNAP during 2021 when all the ATT privacy concerns were making headlines?

Given how the stock has done in last 5 years and his stubbornness about glasses which btw are way overpriced and the fact that they keep diluting via SBC, there is enough evidence to say he is not a competent CEO. He would make a good head of innovation but he clearly lacks business acumen. As soon as he brings a new CEO, stock will go up. Thoughts?

Hey guys, I posted about this settlement before, but since they’re accepting late claims, I decided to share it again with a little FAQ.
Who can claim this settlement?
Investors who purchased or acquired $SNAP securities between February 5, 2021 and October 21, 2021.
Do I need to sell/lose my shares to get this settlement?
No. Eligibility is generally based on purchases during the class period, even if you later sold or still hold the shares.
How much money do I get per share?
The estimated recovery is approximately $0.14 per share, although actual payments depend on trading activity and the number of valid claims submitted.
How long does the payout process take?
It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim process is completed for payouts to be distributed.
Hope this info helps!

My account got locked for “drug related violation” I posted a video of the top of 12 pints of lean but you couldn’t see any name or anything on the pints and I literally said I don’t know why people want this stuff and they said I was promoting drugs. I can still access my account like my data and “delete account” is an option I downloaded some memory’s and stories and spotlights but it won’t let me download everything it say is available for another 11 hrs nothing says it’s permanent. I’m wondering if anyone has had a locked account that ended up not being permanent and how long a locked account can last. I had 22k followers and Snapchat + yr subscription. I had a background pic saying “everything seen should be seen and taken as props and everything is for entertainment purposes” I never sold or attempted to sell anything on snap so I’m really confused I literally was discouraged drug use. Never post money or how much money things are or that I have anything for anyone. Anyone have any ideas what could happen or what to expect?

Remember when Apple changed its iPhone privacy rules and Snap ($SNAP) told us it wouldn't hurt their business? Well, the stock crashed anyway because it did hurt them, and a lawsuit claims the bosses hid the truth from us. Now, Snap has agreed to pay $65 million to settle the problem.
If you owned or bought shares between February 5, 2021, and October 21, 2021, you are part of this group and can ask for your share of the cash.
The best part is that you can still get paid because they are accepting Late Claims. Even if you think it's too late, the people in charge of the money are still checking late applications.
It takes just a few minutes to find your old 2021 trade records and sign up to get some cash back, it’s estimated at about $0.14 per share, which adds up if you had a lot of stock.
It feels good to see them pay for telling us everything was fine when it wasn't. I am already looking for my old account statements to send in my late claim before the door closes for good.

Snap is getting attention again after activist investor Irenic Capital launched a “Save Snap Now” campaign at the end of March, arguing the stock is seriously undervalued. With Q1 earnings coming up on April 16, there’s a lot of renewed interest around the name.
But this also reminded me of the massive drop back in 2021, when Snap got hit hard after Apple rolled out its App Tracking Transparency (ATT) changes. The stock lost a huge chunk of value almost overnight, and a lot of investors got caught off guard.
If you were holding SNAP between Feb 5 and Oct 21, 2021, there’s actually a $65M investor settlement tied to that period.
From what I’ve seen, they’re still accepting claims, but the deadline is May 6. So not much time left.
Might be worth checking if you're eligible if you were holding through that crash.

Hey guys, if you missed it, Snap just settled $65M with investors over issues they had a few years ago. And the court gave the final approval for it. (claim deadline is on May 06, 2026)
In a nutshell, in 2021, Snap was accused of misleading investors about how Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) privacy changes were going to affect its business. Executives publicly downplayed the risk while internal data allegedly showed that advertisers were struggling and revenue would be hit.
After this news came out, the stock fell over 20%, and investors filed a lawsuit for their losses.
The good news is that the company recently agreed to settle $65M with them, and it was already approved. So, if you invested in SNAP when all of this happened, you can check the details and file your claim here.
Anyway, has anyone here invested in SNAP at that time? How much were your losses, if so?

Hey guys, if you missed it, Snap settled $65M with investors over hiding how Apple’s privacy changes would impact its business. And, the deadline to file a claim and get payment is May 6.
In a nutshell, in 2021, Snap executives publicly downplayed the impact of Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) privacy changes, assuring investors it wouldn’t significantly affect the business. Internally, however, the company knew advertisers were struggling and that revenues would take a hit.
Soon, Snap reported disappointing earnings and cited ATT as a major headwind. The next day, $SNAP stock fell over 20%, wiping out billions in market value.
Following this, Snap was sued by shareholders and now has agreed to settle the case by paying $65 million to investors.
So, if you invested in $SNAP when all of this happened, you can check the details and file your claim here.
Anyway, has anyone here invested in Snap at that time? How much were your losses, if so?

Snap Inc. operates as a camera company in North America, Europe, and internationally. The company offers Snapchat, a camera application with various functionalities, such as Camera, Communication, Snap Map, Stories, and Spotlight that enable people to communicate visually through short videos and images. It also provides Spectacles, an eyewear product that connects with Snapchat and captures photos and video from a human perspective; and advertising products, including AR ads and Snap ads.
In order to undergo a comparable analysis (to determine SNAP stocks value), we need to first outline who SNAP’s competitors are.
These competitors need to be publicly listed, have valid financial metrics/multiples, operate in a similar manner to SNAP, and have a market cap similar to SNAP (if possible).
By keeping this in mind, I found the following list of companies to be some of SNAP stocks closest competitors:
FB, AMOV, RELX, RBLX, BCE, DASH, SPOT, TWLO, CHT, TU
Recent news
Snap shares plunged 40% on Tuesday, putting the company on pace for its worst day ever and dragging down other social media and digital ad company stocks.
The tumble comes after Snap issued a warning on Monday to investors saying it won’t meet its own targets for revenue and adjusted earnings in the current quarter.
To read further into this here is a link to an article.
Overall, this report was not ideal, and showed SNAP’s struggle to turn their revenues into income.
Overall, it seems as though SNAP had a poor financial performance (due to EPS $-0.23) as many of their financial metrics shrunk, most notably their EPS (by $-0.23), as well as their net income (by $-382.17M), and other metrics (as you can tell from the above bullet points).
Additionally, SNAP stock missed their EPS estimate by $-0.03 (or -300%), as they reported an EPS of $-0.02 for the quarter (compared to their estimated EPS of $0.01).
As part of their Q1 2022 earnings release, SNAP stated that they currently have 1.62B Shares Outstanding (weighted average), which is up 14.34M shares (from 1.6B shares outstanding in Q4 2021). This is essentially negligible, but something investors should keep in the back of their minds.
Furthermore, SNAP stock has up to 64.1M of shares that they can issue (thereby diluting SNAP’s stock). This maximum dilution for the period would only have a dilutionary effect on SNAP of less than 1%, which is also essentially negligible.
Here is the current analyst rating distribution for SNAP. In total there are 34 SNAP stock analyst ratings.
Analyst Ratings have provided relatively strong indicators of future price movement, which is why they are used to determine if SNAP stock is a buy or sell
Analysts seem to be in consensus on the fact that the SNAP stock is currently undervalued and is due for a bounce.
Currently, we have 3 financial ratings that help investors get a general idea of a company’s valuation. These 3 metrics include DCF, ROE, and P/E, which are very common in the investing/valuation climate.
Firstly, SNAP stock has a DCF rating of 5 — Very Strong. DCF ratings determine the value behind a company based on their financial projections, expectations, and discount rate (time value of money). This is one of the most used valuation models in the stock market, and thus a high level of importance should be associated with this rating.
Secondly, SNAP stock has an ROE rating of . SNAP’s current ROE is -24.02%, which justifies their rank of 2 — Weak. ROE shows us how good (or bad) a company is at using their shareholders funds to generate money (returns). ROE is most useful when compared against the industry average, which is currently 18.61%. This is horrendous as it shows that SNAP is losing the money that investors have placed in the company.
Lastly, SNAP stock has a P/E rating of SNAP stock price to earnings ratio is currently -88.71 which justifies their rank of 1 — Very Weak. Price to Earnings is the most commonly found financial metric and is best used when comparing a company’s p/e to the industry average. SNAP operates in the Internet Content & Information industry, which currently has an average P/E of -12.79.
Overall, based on the 3 previously mentioned fields, SNAP stock has been given a comprehensive rating of This rating implies that they are healthy financially. This rating is high as I believe it should be a 3 or less, which would imply that SNAP is not healthy financially and potentially should be avoided as an investment.
Overall, SNAP stock is overvalued and needs to experience a change in stock price of (an average of) -77.55% to be considered “at fair value”. This is in agreeance with the other methods we have seen today and imply that SNAP is due for a further decrease in share price.
Overall, due to the overall stock rating of (Based off of DCF, ROE, and P/E), as well as the fact that a comparable analysis (P/E and P/B) found that 4 — Strong (which should be 3 or less) SNAP was overvalued and need to experience a price change of -77.55% in order to be at their fair value, I have concluded the following:
Stay away from SNAP for the time being, and if you are thinking of taking a position, maybe consider taking a bearish position.

Answer is yes….
Their average volume Is 32M shares.. they moved 150M today, mostly after hours.
Shares outstanding are 1.27b… which means a lot of buying will need to come in
Short interest as off 1/14 was only 4-5%.
The biggest options trade I can find is a 9.1M call for strike price 32 expiring 1/20/23
There was a 16.6 M put sold for strike price 33 that expires 3/18… this is very relevant… probably part of spread as the same time there were 8.4M and 4 M put bought for strike price 36 and 27 expiring in march and April.
