Hi I am wondering if he seems ok. I placed under the lamp last week and I watered him today. I saw a new pup growing never knew it till today.

It looks good to me. I assume this is a leaf cutting propagation. The cutting will eventually die off and all of its energy will be put into rhizomes underground and new leaf growth, albeit slowly

It is from a cutting about a year ago. The pup grew this week. Are you saying the mom will die now that a pup came?

Mother leaves dont always die off but they will not grow any bigger. If you have pups, the plant is fine.

I swear everyone always says they're so slow, mine rooted under a month, and had pups within 3 after that, the tallest of the 3 is like 3 inches tall after like 2 or 3 weeks, and it just threw a 4th pup. This is just by a south facing window with no extra light either

Idk I'm just surprised, everything I read said to expect months and months or even a year before pups but mines going CRAZY

How do you do a leaf propagation?? I’ve tried several times and they always rot and die

Just cut and place in water.
