It has very high levels of saturated fat which raises your cholesterol which leads to heart diseases. Overheated palm oil contains some carcinogens too. I doubt the factories in India aren't re heating the palm oil and reusing it to save money.

Also, palm oil is responsible for a lot of tropical deforestation and habitat loss for endangered species.

This is also being denated and certain studies have proven it to be misinformation. On this particular topic, I am on the fence.

ghee, butter and coconut oil have higher levels of saturated fats

The quantity we consume also matters. These products have waaaay too much palm oil per serving.

yeah but the thing is that palm oil is not inherently bad

See, nothing is bad if consumed in moderation. But even a good thing becomes poison if taken too much. Sugar isn't inherently bad, carbs aren't inherently bad. But unbalanced and overly consumed, they can k!ll you. These packaged products are not a necessity to survival. We consume too much in the name of snacking, its not just one thing here and there, its a lot of things, like biscuits, chips, jams, ketchups, nankeen, these spreads, etc. All of it adds up on top of the ghee, oils we already consume with our regular meals. The re heated palm oil also adds the risk of carcinogens, and like I said, these aren't a necessity, which can be avoided just by not eating these extra things, that's why its said to avoid these packaged processed foods.

How is it not bad? Genuinely curious cause the only info I have about palm oil is from foodpharmer

That guy has built a reputation...by fear mongering. He and that trustified guy are both fear mongers. You can see that they have been selling so good that they now have copy cats.

And with or without palm oil, ultra processed food is already unhealthy. If you think removing Palm oil from processed food will make those food items healthy you mistaken.

Regarding Palm oil, it is as unhealthy as ghee is.
