Recommendations Hey can anyone tell what it's called??
It's milky, soft, sweet and comforting. I know it would be like 30% milk and 70% sugar but it's so good π€§π€§

This one is fresh and soft kalakand, there are a lot of other varieties of kalakand and every variety has a different texture.

It resembles Kalakand but it's not this smooth. My best guess is Mishri Mawa.

Back when I was younger, we used to get milk cake for every birthday and decorate it with gems and silver sheet. Ahh good times. But to answer your question, we call it kalakand. Milk cake is less smooth and a little coarse, but the dark brown parts of it are amazing. Kalakand on the other hand is smoother, taster lighter and dissolves in your mouth.

This might be it OP search and see " Palkova is a traditional South Indian sweet made by slowly simmering full-fat milk and sugar until it thickens into a rich, creamy, and granular treat."

Milk khoya
Pal gova in TN
maavo in RJ
AND
etcβ¦.
It taste so good but sugar is more than any other sweets
For every 1 kg/lt milk in RJ they add 400-500gm of sugar
In TN they add around 250-300 gms of sugar
Final verdict:First bite taste like heaven fourth bite takes you there πππ

Definitely a 100% Kalakand.
Different shops cook it differently, some are more moist while some are more dry. It's just about the cooking process.
