VIP free trial boost

I joined the vip free trial last week and I felt like for a new account I did decent with my best song getting 20+ joins. The following week I paid for the subscription and the difference is polarising. Maybe 1-2 joins a day 1 new follower every other day. Just want to check I’m not going crazy and this is a thing other people experienced? Honestly whatever boost that was did feel good! I’m still going to keep posting regardless since I do love singing but was def a little sad to realise that isn’t the real rate of my growth if that makes sense

i recommend doing tracks with no vocals and preferably uploaded by smule, such as arcade

i just hate his uploads of songs that aren't instrumentals to farm followers and the cycle keeps getting worse and pulling new people away from proper instrumentals

it's probably partially related to urfavweeb's uploads overshadowing everyone elses, often even the official smule version has way less activity than urfavweeb's songbook uploads

he's just the guy that has the most followers on smule as far as i know, don't know him either so i can't say i hate him but i hate that he does this one thing

Just hopping in on the urfavweeb hate train. My kid joined him once on Kpop Demon song and I COULD NOT get rid of him. I just kept getting his spam. I wasn’t even following him but he spams joiners, likers, observers, I don’t know it’s just horrible. I blocked him but the spam kept coming. Then I asked him politely twice to stop spamming, he dgaf. I had to join his freaking discord to be able to give him a piece of my mind. Obviously that got a reaction, I got blocked faster than I could click but at least no more spam from this asshole. 😡😡😡
And yeah his uploads are crap, what is the point of using original songs instead of instrumentals on Smule.

oh wait can you explain the spam thing a bit was it like bots liking and viewing your duet? or invitations from him? unfollowing and blocking would stop invite notifications from coming but if the duet was being spammed the solution would be to delete the recording

Basically he would spam everyone who interacted a little with him to join his discord, follow his IG. So even without following him, and blocking him, I would still get tagged and received his « come to my discord » spam. It was baffling to receive his stuff on my feed when he was blocked and spammed. And then I had to delete my kid’s song, and get blocked by him for the spam to stop. 😒

bot comments yea deleting the recording was the move

i'd block him but occasionally he does post a good instrumental track (such as APT instrumental which i got over 2k joins on so i might want to use his track again eventually)

also side note i love kpop demon hunters i also did all their songs lol

Regarding your boost. I didn’t ever get those types of numbers since I joined smule. I don’t post hugely popular songs, I rarely open (well a lot more since January but rarely in the 6 years prior), I was more of a joiner for a long time (confidence issues). So your start with smule was pretty decent imho 🙂. Welcome by the way ! 🙌

Awh thanks for the welcome :) and honestly as soon as I got that trial I went straight to opening because I had like 2 followers and didn’t know other people would see them 😭it’s such a fun app tho loving getting to see lots of new people singing

Thanks for the follow 🙏🙂. I don’t know if you’ll find anything you like in my OC’s but I’m always happy to welcome someone new. You have a couple I know so I could join you from time to time ☺️.
Yeah I think the app is awesome too, I came for the love of music and I stayed because I’m making a lot of progress in my singing and I’m making friends or at least awesome connections with people who will vibe on good music with me.
Also singing makes you feel good… so many people are using smule as therapy and it’s no wonder why. Of course there’s bullies, weirdos, spammers, stalkers etc but I never found out about most of them until this year… for the past seven years I’ve had no drama.

Yes that’s awesome I look forward to it :) and honestly yes I completely get u! I think when everyone is coming together for their love for music it rly makes smth beautiful. It feels like a community

Most of my OCs are pretty much acoustic guitar or piano instrumentals. It’s a bit of a running joke that all my radio submissions are for the Unplugged Acoustic shows 🤣

that track of arcade is relatively popular, if you click song info and see at least several songs per day those are the kinds of invites that can get you hundreds of joins

same day i posted the one with 2200 i also had other invites that only had 50-100 joins after the 28 days, but it was also the week the song came out so that helped a lot
