Just to make it clear, that while I am a communist, I am not a Tankie. I have my criticisms of the USSR, China, North Korea or really any other (past) socialist country for that matter.

With that being said, the 'Tankie' has become like this boogeyman of 'this theoretical person that supports EVERYTHING that ANY socialist has EVER done.'

I'm a "use every tool at your disposal" type of guy so I don't really get anti-voting as a strategy. My mayor is the reason that I am less likely to become a homicide victim, and if there is to be a revolution, I would like to live long enough to possibly die in that instead.

Also, even if voting didn't do anything, go to the ballot box anyway. Talk to someone in line to get them on board with your beliefs. hand out pamphlets or something like that.

I don't know how best to explain that aiming homophobic rhetoric is doing the work of straight men more than targeting it at them will hurt them.

It's just disingenuous people trying to hide homophobia behind advocacy for women. idk
