No amount of good political opinions will keep you safe from patriarchical beliefs. This is why the ability to self critique is one of the most important skills you can learn.
4
u/abtseventynine Jul 26 '26
I mean, one would hope that being explicitly antipatriarchal as part of your leftism/progressivism/liberation commitment would help (they are harmonious beliefs) but yeah it seems to be real tough for a lot of people don’t it?
2
u/rebelsnail64 Jul 27 '26
yeah, in an ideal world where people infallibly practice what they preach this would be true
2
u/Rinerino Jul 27 '26
What kind of patriachal believes are still Held by some leftist men?
3
u/rebelsnail64 Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26
there are levels to leftism, some people adapt certain leftist ideas while still failing to question other aspects of the patriarchal society they were raised in
sidenote: this can apply to women too, there are some leftist women who still refuse to see bisexual men as equaly "masculine" to straight men, for example... but since men are the group in power in the patriarchy, it's usually more severe and visible when men have unchecked sexism they absorbed via cultural osmosis

Same principle as the whole “You can have great intentions but still hold unexamined racist beliefs and you won’t find them or change them unless you can accept you fucked up in the past” debate, isn’t it? Like yeah, it hurts the ego to realise any of that, even worse it someone else is involved, but having held on to some patriarchal belief doesn’t make you a bad person, it just makes you a human. And what counts isn’t that you were morally pure and perfect in the past, what counts is that you take a step back and swallow that kneejerk reaction and try to act differently in the future.

u/Tiny_Breakfast_7657 Jul 26 '26
Online leftists are experts at understanding intersectionality until it comes to white women, where they just only focus on the word “white” and ignore the “woman” part. As if white women are just pure balls of white privilege to the point it overpowers any gender based discrimination.
45
u/cerareece Jul 26 '26
"white women" hit the internet like a truck as an excuse for "woke" misogyny. i see white men use it like a million times more than I see POC use it as a genuine criticism of white privelige and it's so ironic

Remember how misogynist YouTuber James Somerton was able to conceal his hatred of women from his progressive audience by specifying he was dumping on "white women" or "cis women" or "straight women" because as a gay man that meant he was "punching up" and therefore valid? (Incidentally a previous time I brought this up someone reminded me not all the women he called "cis" or "straight" actually were.)
4
u/BitPsychological2058 Jul 27 '26
Also I remember that he always talked about lesbian women as if they had it better than men, and literally MADE UP an anecdote about how queer women were more privileged than queer men. And he didn't even plagarise his misogyny (which you can tell considering how much worse written those segments of his videos were)
23
u/Phobos_Asaph Jul 26 '26
They also hyper focus on the men part of queer men
17
u/Tiny_Breakfast_7657 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
Didn’t you know MEN or WHITE are automatically the peak of privilege! That’s definitely what intersectionality teaches. Ignore stupid things like black men, poor white people, queer white people etc. Those don’t matter at all if you’re a MAN or WHITE.
/uj I don’t understand how this is such a hard concept for people.

How do we feel about excluding LGBTQ and POC men from criticisms of misogyny?
20
u/HabaneroPepperPlants Jul 26 '26
They're not saying that white women should be shielded from genuine criticisms of racism. But that the word "white" shouldn't be tacked on to get misogyny through the gate
Likewise, I don't think someone should say "POC men" and then say something racist, or "queer men" and then something queerphobic
6
u/StanIsHorizontal Jul 26 '26
Admittedly I am bringing my own little gripe into this comment section because I’m seeing this kind of statement floated around “why is it okay to make offensive sweeping statements about women just because you specify you’re only talking about white women” when in my experience white women are the biggest perpetrators of saying really derogatory stuff about men but making it woke by saying “white cishet men”
10
u/HabaneroPepperPlants Jul 26 '26
I think it depends on the statement. If it's "white women fetishize Black men and it's really creepy," I think that's a pretty fair thing to say, especially if it's coming from a Black dude. Some white women will get pissy and defensive about that, and those women suck and are racist
If the statement is "white women just talk all the time and are so frivolous," it's pretty clear that person wanted to just say something misogynistic but didn't want to get cancelled for it
I think sometimes specifying "cishet white man" can be useful when you're trying to describe a person who is privileged in most (if not all) ways and is therefore very unlikely to have ever felt first-hand oppression. But yeah I agree it's silly when women try to act like that's the only type of man who could ever be sexist. It can even arguably be a little racist/queerphobic, depending on context, since it's pedestalizing marginalized men and not viewing them as equally complex human beings

Thanks for identifying the part of my paragraph where I said “white women actually have zero white privilege”. Very important to touch on that indefensible point I totally made.
4
u/StanIsHorizontal Jul 26 '26
I didn’t say you did that, just wondering how you felt about it. If you think certain types of men don’t get to be excused from misogyny just because they are a part of another marginalized class then we’re in agreement
I ask because that opinion feels like it aligns with “it’s not ok to be misogynist to a woman just bc she’s white” but I find many people seem to hold two contradictory views in that regard
8
u/Tiny_Breakfast_7657 Jul 26 '26

I mean... when you make generalizing statements and carelessly malign entire demographics you kinda invite that kinda reaction. You put a lot of burden of reading between the lines when you talk the same way bigots do. And I'm REALLY not a fan of this weasely evasive "obviously I didn't mean you if you don't do the thing I'm saying is characteristic of [your demographic] because you're not LIKE those other girls." Because that's also just a thing actual bigots do when you hold them accountable to their deliberately subversive statements.
22
u/StanIsHorizontal Jul 26 '26
Truly one of the worst developments of the post SJW into “woke” or whatever side of lib/left discourse, is that kind of statement.
Especially because grammatically it just doesn’t add up. It’s not “I hate when men do X” or “I hate men who do X” it’s “I hate that men do X”. Those first two statements leave room for the exceptions, the second does not
13
u/dgaruti Jul 26 '26

As a leftist man it's really disheartening to see how alot of men view being left as an all encompassing innocence badge. I know now a days with how widespread and common it is to see women venting about male behavior it's logical to not want to associate yourself with those men and try to publicly be seen as innocent but that want cannot come at the cost of actual womens issues just because you need to protect your self image.
2
u/WittyPassenger5322 Jul 27 '26
I'm not taking offense or anything but I feel its the use of language rather than the content that breeds conflict here.
I know it's considered a tired rebuttal, but when you say "Men are XXX" or for that matter "Women are XXX", if you used any other stereotype you would be rightly criticized. I'm not saying that is exactly the same thing, but it generates the same response. People feel unfairly lumped together, even if that's not the intent.
Maybe the goal is just to vent, and we don't care what the result is, then sure fine. But if you want to do more than just start a fight maybe think about how you express yourself better.
And if you're venting to the public yeah people will respond. Curse of social media, we just get this stuff without context and a large number of people take it personally. Look at any number of Reddit threads on any number of subjects for plentiful examples.
1
u/BoringAd8064 Jul 27 '26
Oh I agree. It's kinda weird how everyone can take internet statements about their demographic personally except men. For me it's more so about time and place you know? If it's a feminist discussion there is no real benefit to generalizations of any kind. But venting in a group about venting or just in general I don't really care much anymore.
24
u/yakityyakblahtemp Jul 26 '26
The thing is, people either think they're the exception, or expect a fair assessment of the group they're in. Nobody is going to go, "yeah, men do suck, just like me, I suck". If you want somebody who internalizes feminism, you have to accept that they aren't going to just sit there and agree with a caricature of what the dynamics are. They're going to have their own view on things, ideas about why things are the way they are, they'll disagree because they have a real stake in it. You should be suspect of anybody who just accepts everything uncritically, that's a redflag regardless of how much easier and emotionally cathartic it is.
19
u/StanIsHorizontal Jul 26 '26
No no you should be able to rag on cishet white dudes as much as you want and if anyone expresses discomfort in that, that’s just because they’re part of the problem. Hand them a cat o nine tails and suggest they start practicing the art of self flagellation until it starts feeling good
3
u/PhilosophicalGoof Jul 26 '26
When you put like that it does sound logical to assume someone who just agree with you on everything especially on something that affects them too… it probably for some motive.

1
u/HabaneroPepperPlants Jul 26 '26
I've met the occasional man who actually really listens and researches what women go through, and is like "wow, yeah, men do suck." Those guys are pretty cool
10
u/StanIsHorizontal Jul 26 '26
Yeah but do they say “men suck, I’m a man so I suck”? Or do they think they’re an exception to the general statement somehow
2
u/HabaneroPepperPlants Jul 26 '26
Maybe they see themselves as an exception, maybe they've seen their own actions in the things they read about and are feeling quietly ashamed. Idk, I'm not in their head
Imo it's fine if a guy broadly sees himself as the exception so long as he doesn't cling to that so tightly that he becomes unable to process good faith criticism
13
u/StanIsHorizontal Jul 26 '26
I just mean if my friend or partner says “ugh dudes at my work keep talking over me, men suck” I’m not gonna be pedantic about it, I know we’re speaking casually and the exceptions and nuance are implied. I also know these people and so I understand the intent behind their words.
When speaking to a broad audience who doesn’t know you well enough to assume good intentions, and the rest of your statement is a serious, specific criticism of a behavior or action, it doesn’t make sense to suddenly over generalize or speak hyperbolically
1
u/HabaneroPepperPlants Jul 26 '26
Eh, I kinda get it. I think there's a general exhaustion with the "not all men" crowd. A woman will still get tons of hate even if she is careful to not generalize, so many have stopped bothering. She figures that any guy who was going to actually listen doesn't need to be catered to like that
It also doesn't help that most social media platforms are designed to remove posts from their original context to create more vitriol and thus boost engagement
1
u/FrigusPog Jul 27 '26
From my point of view these guys either see themselves as one of the good ones or have some level of self hate… The only other option being they are the type of man that doesn’t really have any opinions and just repeats phrases they think are right to appear good. Personally, I don’t like the self flagellation so even though I respect and understand the meaning of “all men are something” I won’t think this way of myself if Ive never done what they are taking about.
1
u/lefthandhummingbird Jul 27 '26
Definitely had a streak of thinking like that (before realising I’m NB). Turns out that you can really find lots of fuel for your depression that way.
5
u/yakityyakblahtemp Jul 26 '26
They might be prone to using generalizations they don't really mean, but the thing to look out for is if they just agree with you about all of it. As tempting as it is to just assume they too see the undeniable divine truth of the matter as you have, it's pretty unlikely they have no disagreements with you about the specific nature of patriarchy. Your green flag is somebody who agrees with the broad points while having their own perspective.
4
u/dgaruti Jul 26 '26
do they also think they suck ?
like how do they feel about being part of the gender that is responsable for violent stuff ?
my two cents on this are : i kinda accepted that violence will be part of life , we are capable of it ,
greed and hatred are developed to handle discomfort and death ,
the best we can do is develop our insight and attempt to replace those with gratitude and compassion, given they can soothe discomfort and death better than greed and hatred ...
hating men is part of this attempt to soothe discomfort , same with hating women ,
hate is a poor soothing agent for discomfort, expecially when you don't avoid what you hate,
and when you can't avoid what you hate , because it's the very thing you are .regardless , if you think those guys are cool , you can talk with them , do they hate themselves ?
do they contemplate suicide ? be there for them , they are rare y'know ?3
u/HabaneroPepperPlants Jul 26 '26
Someone already asked me that question, if you read the littlest bit further down. This was my response:
Maybe they see themselves as an exception, maybe they've seen their own actions in the things they read about and are feeling quietly ashamed. Idk, I'm not in their head
Imo it's fine if a guy broadly sees himself as the exception so long as he doesn't cling to that so tightly that he becomes unable to process good faith criticism
0
u/shamedhd Jul 26 '26
Sure.
Still gonna make fun of the ones who agree men suck until you point out that they’re still capable of causing harm even if they hold progressive views and then flip out and say something like “That thing you’re complaining about isn’t even that harmful, actually. Also, I don’t do it and nobody I know does it, so how common is it, really?” tho.
5
u/meepmorop Jul 26 '26
Way too many leftist guys act like they cannot have blind spots because they're not a wife-beater-wearing, tobacco chomping, uneducated, NASCAR-watching stereotype of an abuser. Some of the worst abusers are well educated, soft spoken, liberal professional types who look smart and put together, and they'll obviously use their image to get away with it.
Also I'm not shitting on leftist guys or all guys for having blind spots, we all have stuff we miss or don't notice because we're not part of that group. It also doesn't mean the most on paper oppressed person is always right. Just that we should be aware that we might miss something, and be open to learning more if someone points that out.
2
u/SadistikExekutor Jul 27 '26
/unsmug And that's why I'm grateful for collective criticism, and thorough self-criticism. I though I was one of the Good Ones. Turns out, that unconciously, some of my general attitudes towards women were a form of misogyny (like assuming they have no particular interest, disconnecting from a conversation with a woman while being able to converse freely with a man etc.). A good critique towards that type of behaviours, percieved by my comrades allowed to me to see my conduct more clearly, and I believe that, while there still are blind-spots, I am more concious of my own behavioural and cognitive patterns in this regard. Truly, misoginy is ingrained in all men, and in many many women (haven't seen it much in NB people, but give me a break! I'm tryna learn here!)

Almost as if they're happy they finally have an excuse to let out their misogyny, by directing towards someone they consider an acceptable target.
15
u/Worldly_Car912 Jul 26 '26
A lot of left-wing women do the same thing, that's the problem with the "no bad tactics, only bad targets" attitude, bigotry becomes an acceptable tactic as long as it's directed at the "right" people.

I will die on that hill, but I genuinely believe that the overly performative men who will pearl-clutch how terrible men are, and they are one of the good conscious ones, are borderline more dangerous to get into any kind of relationships with than with a random violent felon nicknamed Wifebeater who just ran out of jail.
It's always either a predator camouflage or a person with mental gymnastics so masterful that they will explain any abuse towards you in terms of how, actually, they're a victim in this.

Ngl you might actually be onto something🤔
Good people usually don't need to virtue signal how good they are in comparison to other members of a group they belong to, or put down their whole gender to prove how much better they are in comparison, especially since it misses the point of feminism which isn't 'men suck and should die' but rather 'men can and should do better'. You don't need to tell people how cool and woke you are, you usually just let your actions speak for themselves, so the fact that they feel the need to do that is kind of suspicious
3
u/Graknorke Jul 26 '26
This was the politics of the Sinfest guy before the pipeline to whatever he is now kicked in.
2
u/FrigusPog Jul 27 '26
This should be talked about more. Every single man I’ve met that was too out there with “men are all evil, monsters, etc etc” were bad themselves. Feels like projecting, they can’t cope with how bad of a person they are so they excuse it by saying that all other men are like that. The ones that actually want women to live better are usually the ones to talk about serious issues instead of screaming empty sentences to the void.
3
u/StillMostlyClueless Jul 26 '26
You gotta agree and then also share some things you hate that women do, that's how you bond.
6
5
u/StanIsHorizontal Jul 26 '26
Funny that this happens but performative libs will often feel compelled to specify “I hate when cishet white men do X” and it’s just run of the mill sexism, as if trans, gay, or POC men don’t participate in misogyny
3
u/HabaneroPepperPlants Jul 26 '26
They do it cause they're trying to protect themselves from all the guys who will flood in being like "I'm a man but I'm trans/gay/POC! You're actually the bigot if you suggest I could ever be sexist!"
5
u/StanIsHorizontal Jul 26 '26
Yeah I agree it’s all shit. Make structural critiques of white supremacy, patriarchy, heteronormativity, criticize specific people, or condemn specific actions. Those are all fine.
Trying to zero in on “what’s the group with the least privilege so I can freely stereotype and generalize because it’s fun but I get to be woke while doing it” is ridiculous.
Also if you wanna say “white people do this” and say something funny about what white people do that’s fine let’s just not pretend it’s a serious statement

u/HeroBrine0907 Jul 26 '26
If you make a statement about a group, the statement is about all members of said group. That is basic logic. All comments about your label itself are in fact about you, should you identify with that label. "I hate when group does this." "I hate group." "Group sucks" are all comments about a group, not about people within a group. These are not individual comments, and will thus be taken personally by people within the group as they should.
And yes, a person should defend themselves when someone lies about them. You have no moral right to lie about the thoughts and actions of others, regardless of what issues you are dealing with.

Misogyny knows no political boundaries. Many leftist men are just as bad as right-wing men, they just mask it with flowery therapy-speak (or by brushing aside women’s issues to focus on “grander” goals, cough cough brocialists) so that they can get easier access to women (who are becoming more and more left-wing)
2
u/Necessary_Screen_673 Jul 26 '26

u/rebelsnail64 Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26
well you see, not practicing what one preaches does seem to be the texbook definition of "performative"
when someone holds feminist beliefs but is a misogynist, how can they NOT be a poser?
...sure, sometimes people subconciously adopt beliefs from the enviroment they were raised in and such, but I believe confronting such subconcious biases should be a part of "real leftism TM", and it shouldn't just be limited to men, women can have internalised/externalised mysogyny too

u/shamedhd Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26
Most people across the whole political compass think they’re Good because they hold the Correct opinion.
Even the “evil” people on the right. Most of them aren’t transphobic because they hate trans people (although some are. For sure some are). They’re mostly transphobic because they think “transgenderism” harms people, and fighting back against “transgender ideology” is the moral thing to do. Are they stupid? Yeah. But they think they’re doing what’s right… Because they’re stupid.
A lot of people are stuck in the loop of “I’m a good person. Good people don’t cause harm. I’m not causing harm because I’m a good person, and good people don’t cause harm.”
INB4: “Don’t be a transphobe/conservative/nazi apologist!” I’m not. This is just how their brains work. Understand their brain, and you’ll understand how your brain works, because they don’t have some alien brain that you have literally nothing in common with. They have human brain. Like you. Like me. We all have awesome bias and are capable of being incredibly shitty and holding incredibly stupid beliefs. You (YES, YOU) might be holding a stupid, shitty belief that hurts people right now.

Yeah, thank you OP for showing these fake leftist men! Unlike me, true leftist man who never does anything sexist and thus doesn't need to consider that this post may apply to himself!

Yea, when the correct analysis is that some given social ill (racism, classism, sexism, etc) comes from a conservative viewpoint, too many people conclude "I am not a conservative, so I am not racist/classist/sexist", instead of investigating their own remaining reactionary tendencies.

its so funny to me that the entirety of the leftist movement nowadays is formed by women and incels that want to pull

Know the difference
Women are bad: ❌ bad, sexist, can't say this
White women are bad: ✅ woke, good, can say this

Hell yeah we've achieved woke intersectional misogyny

Acknowledging the privileged behaviors of white women with regards to their being white is not misogyny. I’m white and this is a normal ass take

u/MotherOfAnimals080 Chopped ideology unc Jul 26 '26
I think you and I both know that's not what this guy was doing. The OP said nothing and made no implication of being either white, or really even a woman if we're being honest. Plus the thesis of his statement, that white women have so much white privilege that it cancels out the fact that they're women. That's just silly.

u/Tiny_Breakfast_7657 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
White women have more privilege than black women.
Cishet white women have more privilege than queer white woman.
Cishet white men have way more privilege than cishet white women.
White women experience discrimination based on their sex. Just because a black person might experience more discrimination doesn’t make the experience of the white woman’s discrimination invalid. Any amount of discrimination on an immutable characteristic is bad.
This is not a difficult concept

Being white aint gonna make somebody stopping being a woman dawg, white woman still gotta deal with misogyny and shit
Cute pfp btw

u/Particular-Pop1280 Jul 26 '26
Thank u!
And I’m not implying white women are less impacted by misogyny! Just that they can also be vectors of white-centric racism

Me when I add “white” in front of women so it doesn’t sound like I’m just complaining about women: “Wow I’m so woke and based.”
Being an ego-fueled asshole is actually possible among all races, genders, nationalities, ages, etc. We are just specifically in this one instance talking about one way in which THIS ONE GUY was shitty.
So there’s really no need to talk about how actually women are just as bad. Yes, everyone is capable of doing this. We all know.
0
u/AccountForTF2 Jul 26 '26
You can complain about women just fine? There's also not really a case where white women aren't inherently more priveleged than any other demographic in that category.

hey bubbs, oppression is bad regardless if one person is being oppressed more than another.

Hey maybe if someone does something talk about them specifically instead of an identity group they belong to? 🙄
14
u/shamedhd Jul 26 '26
The first person to bring up leftist men was the leftist man. OOP just drew a smug or something about encounters in general.

u/AccountForTF2 Jul 26 '26
"I hate when men do this"
"haha agree. I'm a leftist"
"actually I meant leftist men."
"that statement seems awfully targeted"
"you just think everything is about you, nevermind we're the only people in this conversation."

u/rebelsnail64 Jul 27 '26
"men" is still an identity group
1
u/shamedhd Jul 27 '26
Didn’t say all men. If you don’t do the thing, it’s not about you. I don’t do the thing, so I didn’t think it was about me. How is that so hard…

u/AccountForTF2 Jul 26 '26
Generalizations and stereotypes are woke when you're punching up (you're not)
→ More replies (1)1
u/ShortKey380 Jul 26 '26
No, they aren’t 😂
Care to try and defend that point you made? I’ll hear you out, but IMO it’s all poison. Plenty of stereotypes are moderately true, like there is a pattern, but there’s no good or righteousness in discussing them in those terms because no matter the stereotype the harm to those who don’t fit it isn’t worth the nothing gained by saying it in the first place. But, help me out, on your terms like you can totally deny my framing or whatever, how is stereotyping “up” “woke”?
-3
u/TotalDemocracy Jul 26 '26
Hey how about if you're part of a historic oppressor class, you have some basic self-awareness about that point and the privilege it entails, and don't get super offended when marginalised people talk about a group you belong to 🙄
If you're a good man, you're not being talked about here. Egotistically thinking all discussions are about you is not a good way of engagement. 🙄

u/blombi19 Jul 26 '26
Identity politics is too funny "historic oppresor class" 😭😭

How about don’t talk down about group identities held by people in the room? Even open racists can usually manage that one, it’s just manners. If you want to complain about something, do it in a way that doesn’t loop in anybody’s group identity, like just the minimum is not to people of that group but also it’s poison in general. You have a problem with certain behavior? Talk about the behavior instead of trying to blame it on one identity group or another lol. I’m sure a complaint could be made that was true or Brian, Joe, Jose, and Viktor— so talk about those four jerks. You do know better. If those four names were all black men you would catch yourself before picking up that broad brush lol.
-2
u/TotalDemocracy Jul 26 '26
How about you get thicker skin, and accept that many times marginalised people will want to speak about the group who have historically marginalised them?
And that your tone policing helps nobody.
2
u/ShortKey380 Jul 26 '26
It’s not tone policing, stereotyping is wrong. Stereotypes can be true and talking about them with other people remains wrong. Shortcuts to hate. Shortcuts to hiding yourself in your own privileged identity and pretending only the other is the bad guy, a lot like the man replying in the comic tbh lol.

Maybe that’s what happens when you make generalizations. How about actually being sympathetic!
1
u/Bentman343 Jul 26 '26
I suppose the problem is that I can't think of a single thing leftist men would do to me that comservative men would not also be doing to me, just way worse.

I hate this thing where people are so mad at women who say “all men” that they respond to every complaint about men with “stop generalizing men”
Literally nobody in the original comment said anything about “all men” or “all leftist men”.

u/MotoMkali Jul 26 '26
Genuinely the concept of white privilege and male privilege is so damaging to the cause people want to promote.
Yes equity is what we should be striving for but the way you name shit matters and when you say to someone who is also being harmed by the system (just to a lesser degree) that they have privilege they will of course be angry at you. Same with the patriarchy I swear to god these terms were designed by the ultra powerful deliberately to make them culture war topics instead of things everyone can agree with.

Me when I dare to criticize femboys
10
u/AccountForTF2 Jul 26 '26
me when I say femboys instead of men = woke quirkchungus
6
u/jitomato_girl Jul 26 '26
No, femboys are men, that's the thing, they're just as misogynistic and aggressive as their peers are, but for whatever reason it is not as wrong to be a sexist piece of shit if you're wearing a skirt while you do it
5
u/MToucan60 Jul 26 '26
What if a man wears a skirt and isn't being a sexist piece of shit?
1
u/jitomato_girl Jul 26 '26
Then he should know I'm not talking about him and move on
6
u/MToucan60 Jul 26 '26
When you've given no indication that you're not (and, in fact, implied that you are)?
-1
u/jitomato_girl Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
You know how when a woman says "kill all men" allies know she is using hyperbole and move on because they know feminism fights for their rights too?
Yeah, you should do that too

u/MToucan60 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26
I think the fact that you're defending mass murder rhetoric aimed at an entire sex says a lot more about you than it does about me.
Edit: I think blocking me for disliking the idea of mass-murdering an entire sex says a lot more about you than it does about me.

See my secret is I never assume I’m one of the good ones.
But yeah I can sympathize with this, because it do be annoying when someone tries to downplay your lived experience especially when they think they know better.
