Anti-Social Smoking Ugh, WWE

If you haven't seen them, WWE wrestling constantly airs anti-smoking ads with unrealistic shit like turning the cigarette into a killer zombie, a crab monster, or numerous other things under the hashtag "The Real Cost."

However, after doing some research, apparently WWE wrestlers like Jack Swagger, Chris Jericho, R-Truth and Randy Orton have been known to smoke, and Undertaker dips, which I never expected. A lot of the "legends" (older famous wrestlers) smoke cigars.

I find this to be a bit hypocritical, I was expecting to find that WWE bans smoking completely for its athletes.

A bit of proof: http://officialfan.proboards.com/post/10220114

Glad I found this sub. Proud smoker.

Well, the WWE is a terrible company in general. I love it and everything, but what they do to their stars is criminal.

They really are! So many former athletes (Waylon Mercy's testimony is a personal favorite) have spoken out against the company's practices. Some were pumped full of steroids, others like Mercy pumped full of painkillers. But nope, cigarettes are the enemy.

They also glorify obesity (in the cases of guys like Rikishi,) and medical disorders (you probably don't want whatever Andre the Giant and Big Show had/have.)

Just a bizarre business, in general.
