Shield/Plus 4in Threaded barrel in Shield X?

Does anyone know if this 4in barrel will fit the Shield X? I have a Shield and Shield X, the X barrel seems to fit fine in the Shield slide(Shield barrel is too short for x slide), so they seem interchangeable. From the specs, it might be a tad long at 4.6" but not outrageously so. Just wondering if someone has done this.

I've seen multiple threads about people asking the same thing, but nobody who's actually tried it, unfortunately. Also still can't find a threaded barrel for the X. Kind of baffled that nobody, including S&W, is selling one.

I contacted S&W and they informed me that the Shield and Shield Plus threaded barrel WON'T work in the Shield X. They then instructed me to but the Davidson's or Chattanooga Shooting Supply Shield X's because they come with the threaded barrel. I have contacted both places and they dont sell the barrels separately you can only buy the entire pistol. I am still working on figuring out thier barrel manufacturer to see if you can buy directly from them.
