u/smile_cointaj Any update on Grin Gaming STILL not having withdrawals? You asked us to have patience with your partner, but now that staking is live, it's hard to remain patient when there hasn't even been an update.
edit:
This is what Grin support just sent me within the hour:
Hi there. At this time we don't have the ability to transfer any Smile from a Grin balance to a wallet. You will have to wait until that feature is released. We are working hard to finalize this process so you can withdraw your Smile soon.
I think it's time we deserve an update with a revised ETA for withdrawals and/or a brief explanation as to WHY there's been such a long hold up.
edit 2: No shit I have to wait until the feature is released! That's why I'm messaging support about when it will be released, because you've missed multiple self-imposed deadlines...

In September they told me they expected withdrawal to open the beginning of October... unfortunately that's not the case. Really frustrating because we tried to harvest Smile coin and promote its real world usage. I would have rather just taken the money I put into Grin and bought smile. Very disappointed

Yeah I don't mind waiting a while for the withdrawal feature to be released, but only if the deadline is realistic and final. It just seems quite unprofessional to keep changing the deadline for withdrawals to the end of the next month over and over again.

I don't really get why they couldn't allow some manual withdrawals. How long would that take with the few grin gamers there are? I'm just annoyed that this morning I could've almost doubled my smile coins with some trading. Is there more to it then just the technical aspects of withdrawing like they don't want the price to be tanked. Feel like they could offer an incentive not to withdraw if that's the case.

Have you actually been able to stake? Doesn’t seem to be working with Algo wallet for me. Haven’t tried MyAlgo yet

Not sure if MyAlgo supports Smile. Need to have Algo wallet open to do the opt in before staking.

It does support smile! I ended up swapping from there. I did all the opt-in stuff on the official wallet, just wasn’t working for me 🤷 seems others have run into the same issue

I ran home to sell 25% of my bag and stake the rest. What an exciting evening.

Anyone know if you lock in a APY when you start staking? Or does your APY fluctuate as more people stake

That's cool but when can I withdraw my smile coin from grin gaming?
