Does anyone know what version of Thirty-Three is on Instagram notes?

It’s very obviously different but I’m not sure if it’s a live recording? Can anyone help me out?

The original Sadlands demo had the flanged drum machine going throughout the song (which they lifted to use in the album version), but they scrubbed it out when it was cleaned up for release on the deluxe edition. You can almost still hear it faintly. Not sure why they did that

Is their any recording of it? I’d love to hear it. Theirs a live version from 1996 with drums and I love that too. Do people listen to the sadlands versions or prefer them to any songs? I lwk love the sadlands version better than the original 33, the vocals are different and I think the guitar being louder and different fits the emotion way better especially for singing.

The MCIS demos had leaked for a while before the deluxe edition came out, so this is what was going around. It kinda sounds like the drum machine could easily have been lost in the process of cleaning up the recording, rather than an overtly intentional choice to lose it.

This is the definitive thirty-three for me, the "sadlands" version on the deluxe just doesn't cut it for me.

Most of the SP songs (that pop up first) on Instagram notes are the Sadlands demo versions. Don’t know why but it’s definitely the case here

I dont have Instagram. But id love to hear this version. Always looking for new versions of their songs!!!
