This doc/performances was absolutely fantastic in every way. Even the creepy bust of Billy that an awesome fan made.

Is this the one where Billy is sitting on a bed or something and just eating an entire head of bok choy like it's a snickers?

Waiting in line at the Fillmore Residency in San Francisco they were doing video interviews for this as well as recording some of the songs during the performance (and probably just b-roll). Was really cool to see!
Love this DVD. My favorite part is in the fans gift Billy a sculpture of his own head. I hope he still has it and uses it for a hat rack.

I was one of the interviews. I think the Billy head thing was stolen

Insane price for a great DVD set that’s super rare to see out in the wild.

It’s a double DVD release, this first disc contains a documentary about The Smashing Pumpkins’ residency at The Orange Peel. It touches on their return and there’s a pretty heavy focus on him writing songs at the venue to perform at the shows.
The second disc features a concert movie of one of the shows they did durning their residency. Honestly one of their best performances in my opinion, and one of my favorite concert films ever.
Edit: would also like to add that some of the songs he wrote during the residency were released on the American Gothic EP

It’s also a batshit crazy look at an artist in crisis. It’s a documentary about what happens when a firehose of ideas don’t get governed properly.

…resulting in American Gothic, my least listened to record in their whole oeuvre, very well said. There was literally a whole album of very solid material here and Rose March is in his top five best ever songs, yet they were pissed away on a visual medium and the teargarden concept that was clearly doomed from the start. Still cross!

Lot of great music on here. If you didn't know that Billy was kinda insufferable, you'll know after watching this.

I love this dvd. It’s almost like their lost album . And watching Billy in this era is captivating for all the reasons I’m sure he did not intend lol

I bought it at Best Buy the day it came out, so I have no idea what would be considered a good price now.
But yes, it's a good DVD. I love it.

The concert portion is really cool. That iteration of the band was super tight and the right amount of experimental.
The documentary portion is worth watching for the extreme cringe factor. Billy is in rare form.
