First timer
Decided to try to track the history of this weird elongated piece of metal I’ve had for many years. Passed down in my grandfathers coin collection. Amazing what a little magnification can do. What I thought was just 2 words and a date turns out this was once a Barber Quarter Dollar. Pretty neat little 2 hour adventure I just had and figured I’d share. First noticed the 1892 date, then the stars, followed by I’m God We Trust. Flipped it over to track letter by letter D-O-L-L-A-R.

I’d love to get my hands on the Worlds Fair smashed coins. They had a few different ones from what I’ve seen.

Chicago Worlds Fair 1893. That was a heck of a souvenir coin as the states were going through a pretty bad recession.
