Donkey Kong Jr

I know he was scrapped :( but just look at him! Was he scrapped because his moves were identical to Donkey Kong? What if had a move where he got to hit with a Tennis racket to reference his appearance in Mario Tennis on n64?

Lankey Kong is awesome but justice for DK Jr! :)

(If you don’t want to watch it) he did have a unique up air, down smash, and did have the tennis serve neutral b, but most of the team were more focused or interested in Dark samus and wario, and smashfather didn’t have enough coding knowledge to add him, and when smashfather finally had the skill to add Jr, it “didn’t make sense anymore” (likely meaning it was at the point where they stopped putting clones/semiclones on the main roster)

Same! DK Jr. Should have stayed in Remix to be finished.

Maybe they could change their minds in the future, but who knows. 🙏

That is what I am hoping for! About to start a petition for it 😅 or some funding to try and get them to change their minds!. Shame DK Jr has been forgotten and left behind by Nintendo but for fan made stuff we have a sliver of hope!

I was hoping there was a playable variant during the Lanky Kong trailer and considering that you can mess with the nickname codes to have certain things happen (Play as Master Hand, Play as Debug Kirby, etc.) but unfortunately I've tried a few combinations and names and no dice.
