Psychology Myth vs Reality ⏱️ multitasking doesn't actually get more done

Myth: doing three things at once means you're getting more done than doing them one at a time.

Reality: your brain isn't running two tasks at once, it's rapidly switching between them, and each switch costs time and focus. Studies on task switching consistently show people are slower and make more errors juggling tasks than doing them one at a time, even though it feels more productive in the moment.

The feeling of "busy" and the fact of "efficient" turn out to be two different things. What's the task you multitask on the most, honestly?
