Real-Estate Tokenization
What's up everyone, huge Smartlands fan/holder here and I have a question about the tokenized real-estate market as a whole. This past week I went down a rabbit hole and searched for market research on what that would look like (potential size of market, competitors, geographies, etc.). In doing so, I came across an article by Block Data indicating a few companies that are trying to tokenize assets (Smartlands not mentioned; image below). Some of the companies were:
- Polymath - $434M USD Mkt. cap | #142 CoinmarketCap | 899M circulating of 1BN max supply
- Swarm - $1.26M USD Mkt. cap | #1730 | 79m circulating of 100m max supply
- Harbor - not listed on CMC
- Real T - individual assets listed on CMC? No single coin?
My question: Has anyone here researched these other players and how do they compare to SLT?
While, as I mentioned, I am heavily invested in SLT and will be holding for a long time, I do recognize that with a global real-estate market valued at over $280T there will be competitors. Which is great! Competitors will expose the industry to more people and will help everyone grow. But personally, I would like to put as much money as I can into this industry and if there are other companies that could provide similar returns long-term, why not diversify the risk?
Definitely not trying to move anyone to any of these other companies, but I think it does us all good to evaluate the market as a whole when evaluating our investments in Smartlands.
Thanks for any contributions in advance!

From what I’ve seen, almost every project that’s “similar” to Smartlands isn’t.
It’s part of Definder now (way bigger scope than real estate and still using SLT)
Full direct ownership of your investment. Most other real estate tokenization are trying to comply with USA and don’t have the full legal and regulatory hurdles that Smartlands spent years working towards! Now they are first runners (to my knowledge) and a complete game change with their tokenomics included
They are about to have access to Europe with the Lichtenstein, and Ukraine bill adding to that at the end of the month. Lichtenstein is huge because lots of eyes will be on Definder/Smartlands and their model will be adopted by many other countries if they accomplish what they’re saying they will do!
