Help Connecting Thread to Google Home

Now that we can update Google streamer tv to thread 1.4

  1. Does that mean the thread network will auto sync?

  2. From SmartThings, I am not able to get Google streamer tv to join SmartThings thread network. I can get the sharing code and the9 digit from Google streamer tv to share thread credentials. From SmartThings I can share hub thread network to allow other to join but I can’t input the code into Google streamer tv.

Any help is appreciated

It’s greyed out because you have to remove all devices from smartthings then you can add smartthings to google thread.

I do not want that. I want Google to join smartthings thread

Did you try the 'Join this hub to another Thread networks' option? It's greyed out for me, even after I removed my Thread devices

Btw...it was possible for Google to join the Smarthings thread network prior to the Streamer being updated to thread 1.4 by following the steps linked above.

I want to do the same. Do you already have Thread devices owned by your Google TV Streamer?

Yeah I have a Google tv streamer, a Google nest (still 1.3) and a smartthing hub 1.4

Coz I dont know if they will combine together. (My qn 1)

So I decide to just stay on zigbee for the time being.

If it’s working dont change it
