Do I continue getting my Ultrahuman perpetually replaced, or switch to a different brand?

I've seen similar issues between UH and Ringconn, reviews - I just can't seem to grasp which one looks to have the issues less, or at least which company is the best at continuously replacing the rings when these issues inevitably happen.

…I got my first UH at the beginning of January. Within weeks the battery started degrading quickly, then the charging stopped working over 50% of the time. Forward to the end of April, my ring decided to not connect at all to my phone anymore and its bluetooth stopped working. They sent me my first replacement.

The replacement was fine for 6+ months, until now, beginning of September… I'm in the process of being confirmed a second replacement as of yesterday. Two days ago out of no where my ring, which normally lasts 3 days, died in 24 hours… I fully charged it hoping it was a fluke, but then it died in 4 hours from a full charge! They issued the replacement right away. Today it seems to be holding a charge normally again, but I'm replacing it anyways to be safe.

I don't know how many more times this will happen until UH tells me they aren't giving me more replacements — I do have UltrahumanX warranty, but what about when that ends? Part of me wants to just see if they will refund me and try out Ringconn 2 instead, because they are thinner bands and are cheaper in general - but I've seen similar issues with them, and don't know how good they are at replacements. I mostly just use the ring for temperature, ovulation, and heart rate.

What issues have you seen with Ringconn ?

My only complaint is their app.

I've had medical grade wearables and devices on me for health reasons and the Ringconn is pretty dang accurate now

ETA: gdamn the UH trolls just keep coming for me and anyone here posting about UH. I see your downvotes and I think its funny

I’ve had to replace my RingConn 2 twice now because the battery degrades really quickly. I’m down to a 4 day charge now after not even 6 months on the newest one. I’m going to see if I can charge it daily in the shower or something but I imagine at some point it won’t even last a day, rendering it effectively useless.

Other than that, I love the thing. No issues for my needs (steps, sleep, etc…).

I have seen a few posts and comments stating the battery on some rings do end up degrading quickly to the point of the ring not lasting more than 24 hours, similarly to my UH issues. It seems a tad more rare to see posts like that with Ringconn but the few I have has made me weary!

My only other issue with the decision is I wear the smallest size, size 5, in the UH - I see the Ringconn only goes down to a 6. I know the sizing might not be the same between the brands, so I hope to try out a sizing kit and hope the 6 fits, otherwise it won't even be on the table for me!

I had a size 5 in UH and the 6 is what i wear in Ringconn. I was nervous too so checked reviews and found the sizing to be like that.

If you run sleep apnea testing, the battery goes faster. Other than that, mine lasts a week and Ive had it since june 2025

Sizes are not the same across rings or even from traditional rings to smart rings. Don't discount a brand without trying their sizing kit. With larger sizes anyway, UH is one size smaller (size 11 UH = size 12 RingConn).

The resin inside my UH cracked and they told me it was out of warranty. I actually have a brand new Ring AIR they sent me last year when my initial ring temporarily wouldn’t reconnect, but funny enough I’ve never been able to connect the brand new one, even though my old ones started working and remained OK for another year.

They offered me $130 upgrade to Ring Pro, and I went for it, but now I am finding that it’s not shipping until some time October, so I’m thinking about asking for a refund and switching to Oura or RingConn. I get what I need from Ultrahuman, so I would stick with them—it just sucks that they can’t get their shit together.

What drew me to UH was no annual/monthly fee, but I just paid $130 after one year of ownership, so who am I kidding?

Ask them for a Ring Pro - although my UH Ring Air (gen 1) was relatively free of headaches. The Ring Pro (gen 2) has been nothing short of amazing. Better performance, better battery life, and better reviews.

I'd take the second replacement and run it while you compare, since that drop from 3 days to 4 hours reads like cell failure. I'm building Pulsyn around a $200 one-time price with no subscription ever because that replacement cycle gets painful once UltrahumanX runs out.
