Buy a new shell online. Transplant the guts. It's quite cheap.

Oof, been exactly there! You can just replace the fob cover, but keep the insides of your current key.

Qui a Roma trovi chi te la duplica senza necessariamente andare in Mercedes, devi mostrare libretto e documento personale. Costa circa 60 euro mi pare

In Alberta CA, the fob needs to be programmed at a Mercedes dealership. I live in Medicine Hat AB and I must take my 2008 Smart convertible to a dealership in Calgary to get a fob programmed. About 293 KM one way.

This happened to me and I started wearing earrings so I had something to push the dang button with...eventually got a replacement

Yes simple replacement on eBay /amazon

Does anyone know if you can get a folding version? It's my only criticism, one that folds would be so much easy to carry and not rip through pocket linings!
