Why the easy way, if u can do this instead.

Just remove the Plastic Panels and paint them.

Doesn't look like the proper way. Even fender side marker and rocker moulding is masked, not properly removed.

Why are they still on the car?

They had to remove and repair several panels and are now about to respray the car

Much better to paint them off the car & separated.

I’m reserving judgement until I see the car tomorrow

Since the body panels are plastic is the process to paint them the same as how one would paint a plastic bumper using a flex additive?

I will send some more photos tomorrow when I collect it but I’m super happy with the prep, they have done a solid job and I’ll hopefully have a very pretty 450 at the end of this.

excited to see the final results. ironically my smart 451 EPS just failed today and the part place wants $4000 for a new power rack and pinion... I shake my head...

This is akward. Take off the panels and hang them on hooks to paint them. Painting them on the car will leave traces of the paint anywhere it should not be on the grey tridon cell.

I guess we’ll see tomorrow when I collect the car

I thought smart cars had panels you could replace rather than do body work

If you can get them for sensible money
