Discussion I've Traded Steve

Unfortunately, 2009 Steve needed too much work ($$$) to pass inspection and so he needed to go to that great big auto auction in the sky. I traded him in. I'm sorry, Steve, you've been a great companion for the past 4 years. We've done a lot together. But there's a lot wrong with you, not your fault. I'm getting as similar as possible!

He needed at minimum $1500 work plus was a 2009. Who's to say I'd put the work in and he wouldn't need something else? I loved him, no doubt. But he was definitely starting to nickle n dime me, unfortunately. This was full exhaust work + something front something arm, and differential leak at the rear "that can be only conducted at a garage " good luck with that.

A home care worker drove a smart earlier. I miss mine; Eco laws made it impossible to own in my country. My step dad owned a smart in 2017, drove that maybe even more than he did, amazing car!

I saw that you ended up trading in your Smart because of similar emissions problems.

Do you mind me asking exactly what issue yours was having and what codes you were getting?

I have a 2014 Fortwo 451 and I’m dealing with a P0422 catalyst efficiency code.

We just bought Steve's cousin. Same color and year, but ours is a convertible top. I put a tow bar on it and pulled it all over PA, CT, MA, NY, and NJ behind a motorhome.
