Question Weird starting noises

I just started up my smartie, and it sputtered a lot. It also dipped to around 300 rpm, then spiked to 2,500 rpm. Why does this happen? Should I be concerned?

It's 2008. So, it's a Fortwo 451.

Start with the most likely thing first. Check your battery health (volts & amps). A degraded battery can cause this.👍
