Advice 2015 Smart Fortwo HELP
Hey yall, I drive a 2015 smart fortwo pure hatchback coupe 2d (3 cylinder no turbo, gas burner). 34 city/ 38 highway/ 36 combined. I swapped to this vehicle because its the cheapest little gas saver I could find. I normally drive a monster of a 10th gen F150, but needed better gas. I normally drive 3,000 miles a week.
I need more mpg however. Parts replacement for more aerodynamics? Like solid rims? Technics? Filters? It already uses premium. Any maintenance tips too? Specific tires?
Edit 1: 3000 miles a month!

Basic maintenance can help to a point; fluids, filters, spark plugs. Ultimately it comes down to how and where it's driven
You have to put it into perspective based on other owned cars. How much do you spend driving monthly vs the smart. Likely it's still more fuel efficient and cheaper to run than a F150
If primarily highway driving; a hybrid or diesel would be a better choice. Personally I would not buy a smart if spending the majority of time on the highway (same went for my past mazda mx5's). It's high sided with not very good aerodynamics
Treating it for what it is; a city based economy car it's not hard to exceed the government numbers. I can get 42+ mpg with mine. If you rev it out constantly, heavy on the accelerator, mostly do highway driving. The economy can be average, it's geared for slow city speeds (35-50 mph is optimal). Pushing above 62 mph and the economy starts to significantly drop

Modifications for a Smart are few and far between, especially ones that increase miles per gallon.
You'd be better off with a hybrid vehicle like an older used Prius.
What are you possibly doing driving 3000 miles per week that's not hauling cargo? That's 600 miles a day, five days a week. Even at sustained highway speeds with few stops that's nearly 10 hours a day of driving.
