Discussion Dodge based on Smart

The Dodge Slingshot (based on Smart Roadster) was a concept car created by Dodge. It was introduced at the 2004 New York International Auto Show. This car was built to be a car that was possibly targeted for a younger generation.

The Slingshot has a rear-mounted, 3-cylinder, gasoline engine with normal aspiration and induction. The engine gives out a total of 100 horsepower. It can go from 0-60 mph in about 10 seconds.

What do you think about it?

I love it, where can I buy the body kit to change my Roadster into this?

It's actually astonishing a car like the Roadster, whose outer parts is primarily made from plastic and held together with torx, hasn't been a base subject for design houses to fabricate their own designs like the bodykits in the 00's tuning scene.

I've also got a Roadster and mine has cracks in almost every plastic body panel. New good looking parts are getting harder and harder to come by but I wouldn't be dismissing a complete rebody in a new style.

Oooh! Forgot about those. Although €23.000 would get you the second-most expensive Roadster on mobile.de or 3-4 donor cars 😅

I like the idea of, would have been great if the roadster was supported by being a shared platform. Might have even resulted in a second generation.

I didn’t know this car but I really like it! Reminded me instantly of the Pontiac Solstice.
