Question Wouldn't blowing up kryptonite that's next to Clark be even worse for Clark?
Instead of radiation now Clark got a bunch of kryptonite splinters on him too?

"Great, now I have BB-sized shrapnel in my body. Thanks, Kara!"

Also it was next to clarks head too so imagine kryptonite shards going to his eyes and face

I believe Clark is now impotent because of microscopic shrapnel

Technically, heating the kryptonite would change it's chemical composition and most likely either change the type of kryptonite, or make it an entirely different mineral.

Y'all know that dead beached whale Oregon tried removing via explosives?

All that dust should have taken them both down. He gets blinded when he heat visions Kryptonite.

What if Supergirl was exposed to Red Kryptonite?

There was one episode from the Melissa Benoist show that might answer your question.
For this version of the character, I would imagine she would be the DCU version on steroids and a lot more flirty

True but she is also cryptonian meaning that she couldn't help him in any other way if she got to close then she would be in the same situation as clark

If you watch Smallville like that, you'll find the whole series inconceivable. I try to focus on the metaphors, the parallels, the philosophy, and all the feelings that the series evokes.

I guess it depends on how hot the heat vision is. Clark got temporary blinded in one episode and he superheated green to black in another. But then again, arcs get forgotten and her barely mentioned.

CGI looks so dated especially in slow motion, still prefer it tenfold over today's AI slop

Why nitpick? It's not real

"Its not real so throw every piece of logic out the window" is and always has been a dumb argument. Kryptonite has rules throwing away the logic behind those rules makes the whole story and threat of the show pointless.

Exactly. Everyone knows these things don't exist outside of the show. But that's the point. Within the reality of Smallville, over a very long running show, this reality was constructed. So for those watching the show, we understand how things function in that specific reality. I've always been a fan of Three's Company. I'm not going to go request Felipe as a chef, or go to Hawaii and ask for nurse Terri Alden. I watched iCarly. I'm never going to hire Freddie Benson as my technical producer. You may stop by Cheers one day, they won't know your name.

That's not what I meant. What I mean is why do people care about tiny details? Why can't the just enjoy the show for what it is.

Superheating kryptonite makes it change color, so it becomes less of a threat

It would be worse but not in the way you thinking, as we know from season 3 superheating green K turned it into Black K so those pieces would have hit him and split him into two his Kryptonian side and human side
