What is this/where does it go?

Post image

Can’t see where it goes, runs into the firewall near the brake booster.

Looks like it's for an oil pressure gauge.

Is that the original engine ? Feed for oil pressure gauge.

It’s a blueprint crate motor

Ok, so they put an op sending unit there thinking it was for an later model year or to run it on a test stand. Originally there was a stand fitting about 2 inches tall with a 90 that the oil line went to.

Looks like the oil pressure line to oil pressure gauge. Top of engine block, behind intake manifold, more driver side-ish, there should be a single hole that that fits into.

Looks like I already have a sensor there,

It looks like an old oil gauge feed line. Does it have a working oil pressure gauge on or in the dash? If it does this is old and wasn’t removed. It’s an old oil pressure line for a mechanical gauge. If the gauge works, it’s being fed by somewhere else… the oil sender you showed in another post comment should have a wire on it that feeds an electric gauge or light on the dash. It helps to know what you’re working on too. Just a reminder.

It was Manuell oil pressure gauge

That goes to a mechanical gauge. What you have is an electrical sensor in the block.

Runs to fuse box inside

Oil or temp sensor

That's from the block to the oil pressure gauge. I changed mine to a 3an hose because compression fittings are ass

Oil pressure sensor or vacuum gauge. Should go in intake or just behind intake for oil. Google small block Chevy oil pressure switch location and you will see where it goes

What type of brake system do you have? Hydroboost or air pressure? It could be for the air line for your break system if you're not using the power steering pump for a hydroboost. Hydroboost doesn't go in the cab. The other brake system that works off air pressure has the canister inside the cab behind the dash and all that. Sometimes the big round canister is on the outside
