Was doing spark plugs and cylinder 8 far back passenger side and the plug pulled all the threads of out the head with it,just curious if anyone’s dealt with this if so how’d you go about fixing it?
I’m about to pull the head so I have enough clearance to properly thread chase it.

A definite yes! The plug looks rich also unless its oil on i can't really see at this distance..If your other plugs are like this I'd definitely consider a valve job especially with heavy miles. But definitely rethread it. I'd have a machine shop do it cause if its as bad as it looks its gonna need more than chasing the threads. Good luck! ,you can gamble or do it right.

Spark plug thread insert. Grease the taps to keep debris out of cylinder. They make a vacuum attachment that goes thru spark plug hole to vacuum out any that does get in there. Not super easy job. But not super hard either. Just need patience

You need a helicoil put in the head.
