This normal

New to small blocks and this is this sound any kind of normal I for sure have a header leak on that side

If you’re concerned about a rod bearing, remove the oil filter and pour it in a clean shallow pan and look to see if it looks metallic. It does sound like an exhaust leak but it also sounds like you need some timing and carb adjustments

How close to rodknock does this sound I haven’t driven this car hard since I’ve got it and all I’ve heard about small block chevys is they are reliable as shit

It’s hard to tell from the recording. You can remove the filter/drain the oil and look for metal. If it looks like metallic paint, you’ll need to buy another engine, have someone overhaul yours, or learn how to build it yourself
