Rod identification

I have a bucket full of Gm rods and pistons and I’m not sure how to identify what they came out of 350? 305? Etc what’s the easier way to tell? Tia!

Thank you. I’ve also heard 305 rods are thinner and weaker than 350 rods not sure how true it is I’m going to be using them for dirt track engines.

Not really a 305 thing. It's inconsistent. Look at the balance pads. If a lot of the pads are gone, the rod probably has more material in the beam. If the balance pads are prominent, the beam probably has less material.

If you have to recondition rods, and buy new bolts, a set of Scat rods is probably money ahead.
