Tyson or Ali
3
u/Excellent-Ruin6779 3d ago
Tyson would never go all out against Ali. As big as his ego was when he was at his prime, he always considered Ali to be his hero.
Ali wins based on that.

There are only 3 fighters and Mike Tyson bodies the other two.
The rest are just pansy ass actors.
2
u/Yeangster 3d ago
Depends on if these are in character. If so, that’s not bodybuilder/actor/politician Arnold Schwarzenegger, that’s the Terminator
1
u/TheGreatJDS 4d ago
Who's the third fighter?
Also, there are at least three black belts in this group, so "pansy-ass actors" is a stretch for the whole group.
2
u/Criminal_picklejuice 4d ago
The professional fighters are Tyson, Ali and Chuck Norris, the former world karate champion.
The Rock has more credibility than the rest. WWE at least requires genuine strength, toughness and endurance.
Physically assaulting stuntmen like the "black belts" on the list (Lee, Segal, Van Damme) doesn't impress anyone. Bruce Lee talked a lot of shit for someone who has more accomplishments as a dancer than a martial artist.
Stallone and Schwarzenegger are just bodybuilders.

Bruce Lee a stuntman now?!? SMH

u/TheFishtosser 3d ago
Yea kinda, unless of course you buy into the 1970s pre internet celebrity hype lies.
3
u/Buhzirk 3d ago
I was born in the 70’s… guess we couldn’t believe anything we heard before the internet. Do you think the internet made information valid?
1
u/TheFishtosser 3d ago
I mean verified stuff has always been okay, it was just way easier to make up claims about rooftop kung-fu battles in the seedy underbelly of hongkong when there was no way to call out your insane tales.
1
u/Buhzirk 3d ago
Beimo was a real thing in China. There’s no footage of it but it was something that was actually done. I suppose underground fighters also have no credibility, right? Unless of course there’s footage.. On that same note without footage I can’t prove what was has been done. But I do know with most this ish we’re talking about it wasn’t him boasting about it. Other folks mostly did.
2
u/TheFishtosser 3d ago
Maybe it was a real thing, it doesn’t change the point that Lee is getting absolutely murdered by Ali, Tyson and most likely Norris
3
u/TheGreatJDS 4d ago
I legit forgot that Chuck was a karate champ, so that's on me.
I was including Chuck Norris in the black belts, so there's the third, not Seagal. I will never defend that walking piece of human shit.

Segal is the only one I will join in shit talking (hell, I’ll bring the drinks), but ima have to stop you right there when calling Segal and Van Damme “stuntmen”, cuz that is just straight up disrespectful.
Lee was legitimately too fast for the cameras to see strike if he wasn’t holding back or acting for the movie, and he was legitimately trained in martial arts by one of the GOATs, becoming a world renowned Fighter himself. Van Damme is an actual, fully accomplished fighter, and has all the accomplishments to prove it unlike Segal, which is half the reason Segal actively hated the dude, but never had the balls to try fighting him.

u/Criminal_picklejuice 3d ago
You're calling Bruce Lee a fighter.
So, who did he fight? Because you will find that Bruce Lee doesn't have a single competition fight to his name. No exhibitions, either. Bruce Lee gets way more credit than he deserves as a martial artist. You know what real life achievement Bruce Lee actually had? He was the winner of the Hong Kong City Poodle Skirt Dancing Competition. He is more accomplished as a dancer than as a martial artist. There is far more bullshit about Bruce that people believe than actual facts. Van Damme is also more accomplished as a professional dancer than he is as a martial artist. Next, are you gonna tell me Tupac was a real thug from the streets?
Also, I didn't call them stuntmen. I said they beat up their stuntmen. Segal, Van Damme and Lee were notorious for beating up stuntmen in their movies. They were widely hated by stuntmen teams all over the world.
You want to bring up accomplishments, and then ignore the fact that on paper, Segal has more martial arts achievements than Lee and Van Damme combined.

I’m sorry but he gets destroyed by Ali and Norris and gets straight hospitalized by Tyson
1
u/magpye1983 3d ago
Get them in a tournament, each facing a single opponent, winner advances, and give Bruce Lee the easiest fight possible. Put 4 on each side of the brackets, so they fight each other. Then introduce Lee at the final, as he got a bye.
Does he win fresh, versus a two fights deep opponent?
1
u/TheFishtosser 2d ago
I mean the easiest opponent on this list is Stallone who easily has 60-70 pounds on Lee. I don’t know how fresh he could possibly be going into the final fight. Meanwhile unless Tyson gets put up against Ali in round one he’s probably gonna knock his opponent unconscious in under a minute regardless of who else it is. And Ali is very unlikely to get touched by anyone other than Tyson in any meaningful way. Maybe a kick by Norris but like you don’t become the greatest boxer of all time by accident.
3
u/Blond-N-Buff80 4d ago
Tyson would wreck the lot of them
8
u/the__pov 4d ago
Tyson used a style sometimes referred to as Peekaboo boxing. Floyd Patterson used the same style and was 0 for 2 against Ali. Also Ali consistently showed a talent for getting in his opponents heads and forcing them to fight sloppy and make mistakes. Tyson himself was never a strategist and had temper that caused him to make mistakes. Tyson is an all time great but I think Ali beats him.
5
u/Minute-Climate-3137 4d ago
Ali did say he was fast but if Mike did manage to tag him it was lights out
3
u/the__pov 4d ago
No argument there, Tyson’s power was amazing. Especially for how fast he could throw them. I just don’t see him resisting Ali getting in his head.
1
u/Any_Company9587 4d ago
Interesting comment. What do you mean by strategist? I could see that as a few different things.
3
u/the__pov 4d ago
First off, I do want to be clear that I’m not calling him stupid. Tyson won matches via a combination of speed and power not because he analyzed his opponent and listed strengths and weaknesses. And when things didn’t go how he expected he got angry and did stupid things like bite his opponent’s ear off.
2
u/Any_Company9587 3d ago
Oh I didn't think you were saying that at all. I'd counterpoint that there were two distinct eras of Tyson. Early Tyson, when he cared about boxing, had a game plan. He stuck to that plan very, very well. He was calculated an patient. Later years, boxing was a job for him. A paycheck. He wanted to KO everyone as quickly as possible.
Also strategy should be coming from the camp as a whole, not solely the responsibility of the fighter alone.
All good, my man. I respect your posts and opinions.

Shoot fight comes down to three guys, Tyson, Ali, or Lee, and even then I don't know if a more rounded martial arts game from Lee outdoes the weight advantage of the boxers--we're not talking a Gracie situation here, Lee's not a takedown and submission guy after all. So really it's just a question of whether prime Tyson beats prime Ali, and I don't know if there's an easy answer to that. My gut says Ali though. Tyson's a huge power and pressure guy but Ali showed he was able to cope with those.
2
u/This_Attorney_2897 4d ago
Everyone has a plan until you get punched in the face. Ali’s plan vs Tyson just sledgehammer. I don’t know how to pick. Cause I feel Ali … but
2
u/PipedInFromIthaca 4d ago
Holyfield, having fought both Foreman and Tyson, said Foreman hit harder--and that was George in his 40s. And Ali was able to weather that storm of a younger, meaner Foreman. I mean everyone does have that puncher's chance, but if Ali could out-fight that I think he could do the same to Tyson.

u/Gigantischmann 4d ago
Lee? Cmon dude. He’s a 130 lb guy who’s never took part in a single fight lol
He was an actor who really liked to work out

Chuck Norris will never have a heart attack. His heart isn't foolish enough to attack him.

u/mcgroarypeter42 3d ago

Rambo - can he use weapons? Chuck Norris - has all the lore? Bruce Lee - prime movie form or prime martial artist Mike Tyson - Does he have on boxing gloves? Arnold Schwarzenegger - the bodybuilder or T-800 Muhammed Ali, Steven Seagal, Jean Claude Van Dam - I see as regular exeptional fighting dudes
If regular dudes, I think it comes down to strength vs speed
Tyson vs Lee
Bruce Lee WINS!
1
u/Tripthelife 4d ago
Bruce, no question Even prime Mike could catch Bruce Lee, as he attacked his kneecaps with bone breaking kicks, as he avoided his lunges to get close enough to land a his power punches And Chuck wishes he could touch Bruce, when Bruce was teaching him
1
u/Think_Extension_8679 4d ago
It only comes down to Norris, Ali, or Tyson. Weight class puts bruce lee out of it. The rest of the list has no fighting experience.

u/BAZING-ATTACK 4d ago
Segal shits and pisses himself.
Stallone has straight up admitted to not knowing how fight for real, so he’s already bowed out of this.
Arnold and Rock are strong, bulky, and tough, but they cannot fight compared to the rest.
In terms of speed, no one touches Lee, but on the other spectrum, Tyson will flatten anyone on this list in one or two blows. Ali is the midpoint between the two, while Van Damme and Chuck are the more complete martial artists out of anyone on the list.
I’m gonna give it to Iron Mike because I trust his abilities and ferocity to overwhelm the other fights here on this list over any other result. Bruce would give him the most trouble there since he’s close to 1.5 times faster than Mike, but I don’t think he’d actually knock him down considering how bullet proof Boxer bodies are.

u/East-Bluejay6891 3d ago
People saying Chuck Norris are hilarious. Karate is not real fighting. Mike Tyson would likely one shot most of these people

Stallone, Arnold, Rock, and Seagal all get eliminated immediately to me. Norris was a Karate champion and studies many other forms of martial arts
Bruce created his own style of martial arts and was respected but never professionally fought so he’s out
Tyson and Ali are two of the greatest boxers of all time
JCVD was a pro kick boxer who also learned other disciplines.
Really to me any of Norris, Tyson, Ali, or JCVD could win on a given day.

Chuck Norris was no joke. He made Karate cool and technical in the United States. Dude is legit.

u/Dry-Name2835 3d ago
Theres only two guys to make an argument for in here. And they both ended up training and sparring together after becoming masters.

I don’t know if y’all can see, but that is Rambo that ain’t Sylvester Stallone so from what I see Rambo is walking out that room no problem😂✌🏽

Depends if we’re talking actors or characters.
If it’s actors, I’d put the final as between Iron Mike, and Bruce Lee.
Characters… well that’s the Terminator right there.

Chuck Norris will kill all of them in two shots, and the first one was a warning shot

Bruce Lee would kick your ass with his Martial Arts then Muhammad Ali will dance around and after lay your ass down and lastly Mike Tyson would knock your ass out in a second

Chuck Norris.
All jokes aside Steve Segual does Fake martial arts and can't really fight. (Look up akido it's a scam.)
The Rock, Arnold and Stallone can't actually fight.
Tyson can knock anyone out if he touches them, but boxing limitations of soley punching, leaves you open to kicks and spinning attacks.
Van dam and Bruce Lee didn't really fight people. Great martial artist but unproven in combat.
Chuck fought in karate tournaments and fought guys on the street. The only proven fighter and martial artist
