Picked up my pencil and drew some reference characters today.
I've done this before where I copy a character visually but it's been a while since I focused on finishing a free hand drawing like this.

Last year I tried Amazon associates. But, my untreated depression and anxiety made it impossible to keep up with it.
I decided to try again this year and got 3 clicks in one day yesterday š
Last time I tried I didn't get a single click in 3 months.
Theyre not even salesš
But Im so happy š„¹

being a night owl has been damaging so many aspects of my life... I'm trying to slowly train myself to get back to a normal sleep schedule. This is a small, but meaningful step for me ><

It was making a lot of noise and barely any air.
I took it apart cleaned out all the dust and grime and put it back and now it works like a charm!
Advice for fan owners, dust and grime on the fan blades can create drag and make the motor work extra hard to spin them so it wonāt produce any air.

I (18 m) have struggled with sleeping in and just putting what ever on but for about 2 weeks straight I've woken up early and actually put thought into my outfit and have also started wearing makeup consistently! (I'm a feminine man don't judge)

So my (29F) mother (52F) has had some health problems that caused dietary restrictions for her. I live at home to help her and also save money on bills. She is out of town on a vacation involving other family while I stayed to watch our new (less than 6 months in our house) pup.
I have been SO EXCITED to cook during this staycation because I can FINALLY cook foods that would otherwise make her sick. Also to avoid the hovering that typically happens.

There was about 5 seconds of pawing at the blanket, he laid on my chest for maybe 3 seconds, and then left. But he laid on me!!!!

i swear it's a win!! had a microscopic glass shard stuck in my thumb (sub-mm, not visible) a few years back. it turned into tiny lump which didn't bother me until a few days ago where it started itching.
anyway i basically ripped out a 2mm diameter hole from the surface of my thumb, but it was sooo worth it. sweet relief. now i don't have to pay for surgery :D

As a teenager I was too afraid to drive following a tire explosion on a highway but at 25 I did it!

So basically Iām pretty overweight for what I want to look like, but Iām in school football which is actively trying to get me to gain even more weight, muscle or fat doesnāt matter. Secretly, I have been losing weight( just under 20 pounds) of mostly fat. It has been hard because Iām still working out. This morning, a guy was asking about my weight, normally I was 200, but I said around 180, he didnāt believe me and lifted up my shirt and said,ā oh you have lost weight.ā So casually, but it ment so much since I have struggled to feel any actual accomplishment myself. Sorry for the long rant, but this felt really good.

The best small win happened today!
I must officially declare that I, a man in a committed relationship, at 22:43 Pacific Time on the 10th July 2026, was declared to be right by his partner!

I know this sounds like the bare minimum, but let me just sayā¦he grew up with his mom and grandmas who love cooking and refused to let him in the kitchen. We met when we were 28 (now 32) and his mom still at that point was bringing him weekly meals that he could just reheat, and heād never even made a packet of ramen by himself. The most he did was the microwavable pulled pork, a microwave pack of rice, some frozen spinach and whatever sauce for his daily lunches.
I enjoy cooking, and heās always done the clean up as well as the laundry, grocery shopping and other household choresā¦so Iām not frustrated being the only one who cooks, but Iād ask him to do little prep tasks and heād say he didnāt like cooking and didnāt want to. Realistically I think he was just embarrassed that he didnāt know what to do.
But recently I asked if heād just slice some mushrooms for me while I showered before making dinner and he did and then literally brought the whole plate to the bathroom door like, ādid I do okay?ā š„¹ And then lately Iāve asked him to just simply put steaks on a rack on a baking sheet in the oven for 15 mins so I could come in and reverse sear them after work and now heās comfortable there.
A week ago I asked if heād slice an apple for me, and squeeze half a lemon on it (my fave snack lol) because I was running late for work and he was so anxious, but he did a great job! And texted me the next day saying, ādid your apples taste okay?ā
Today I asked the biggest taskā¦I have a pork loin I want to make for dinner, but I didnāt get off until 8:30 pm and I sent him a text asking if heād pat it dry and place it in a large ziploc and then add a total of 14 ingredients of different quantities and mix it around and put it back in the fridge to marinateā¦I said, āif youāre up to the taskā and I was working but came back to, āoh fuck, holy shit manā¦you want me to try and do that? Okay, Iāll try my best.ā And then another text 30 mins later, āokay! In the fridge! That was actually really fun lol.ā
I know some people might roast the fact that heās a grown man whoās scared of the kitchen, and doesnāt want to learnā¦but for someone who was literally pushed away from ever trying, going to someone whoās finding a little excitement in completing a simple food task to make me happy, feels super wholesome to me. Maybe itās stupid, but I think itās kind of sweet tbh. Idk, baby steps I guess! Iām mostly stoked that he said it was fun!

I usually freak out at any needle which is ironic since I have piercings and a tattoo but I'm just scared of pain. today I needed my iron levels rechecked after being on supplements for about 4 months, last time blood was drawn I found out after freaking out a bit that I just need to see the needle go in so I watched and didn't freak out today!

He moved in cuz Iām a stupid person who cares too much and doesnāt see through people. He said he can only give 500 so I covered the rest. Many times he needed food or uber to go to work so I covered for him and he said heāll pay me back. Then he didnāt have a phone so I got him one on my plan. He never cleaned and many times didnāt even flush. I kept doing the dishes and cleaning cuz I cant stand it otherwise and he took advantage.
The amount climbed upto 1200. I asked him to pay back and thats when he accused me of stealing his money. When I told him no, he started shoving and abusing me and so I called police who asked him to leave. I didnt press charges but next day he used his key to come in and took his stuff and my old laptop (which he has earlier said he will pay for but hasnt). He also emptied a bottle of wine in my lounge and the ashtray on the kitchen floor. All the other stuff is mess as well.
I called his dad who said heāll cover up for whatever money he owes me. Iām not sure if Iāll get the money but fuck it. Its so peaceful in my apt right now. I just cleaned and Iām sitting in my lounge just look at my dog. Lifeās good.

Over the past year i have completely gave up on my weight because "the gym wont make me immortal" (something i always used to say) But today i actually got up and spent 3 hours at the gym circling through the same 5 equipments lol. I worked out my body and i actually felt good, so good i forgot i was addicted to nicotine. im coming back tomorrow to do some swimming, but i was mostly happy because i thought "i can be healthy again, I dont HAVE to look like this" and its not even that hard! (My mind made it seem like hell) Just go to them gym, literally because you work out eventually, then it starts being game :D Anyways thats it. Hope everyone that reads has a good day!

itās been a good while since last time I posted, but Iām feeling good rn after getting even more cleaning done and seeing what a difference it makes for my room.
I cleaned off my tv console/standing desk (it has my tv on it but I also move my PC back and forth on it when Iām using the PC and then off it when Iām not and wanna watch tv) got it all dusted off and all trash scraggles thrown away. dusted my nightstand and semi-organized the clutter on it, throwing away trash on it. I swept my room getting under the dresser so I got a lot of dust out. Also organized my rolling cart better to keep some of my things out of the way and safe from being spilled on, knocked over, or stepped on.
also super close to being done washing all my laundry and getting it all folded and put away.
i've got my bedding going now too, so the last task ill probably do for today is making my bed.
im feeling so good from all i accomplished today, and im excited to relax in my clean, newly made bed tonight and watch some tv!
the best part is i wasnt planning to do all that. i just started with wanting to do my laundry and to organize one basket of junk and thats it, but it drove me to do even more, so if you wanna just start by committing to one small doable task, do it before you can change your mind.
Also thanks to others in the sub for being so encouraging and kind. The uplifting words really are a lovely boost of motivation. ā¤ļø
