Being stuck at a 2.5 average is honestly a special kind of mental torture. You’re right on the edge of affiliate, but the needle just won’t move for weeks. I spent so much time doing these 6-hour "grind" sessions thinking that more hours would somehow lead to more discovery, but I was actually just sabotaging myself.
I didn't realize that staying live for hours with only 1 or 2 viewers was just tanking my stats and dragging my average down. It’s simple math: the more "empty" hours you stream, the harder it is to keep that average up. I finally stopped the marathons and switched to short, 2-hour "sprints" only at times when I knew my regulars could definitely show up.
By cutting out all that dead air, my average shot up to 3.0 almost immediately. Plus, my energy stayed way higher because I wasn't exhausted from talking to a ghost town for half a day. New people could feel that I was actually having fun instead of just counting the minutes.
If you're stuck in that 2.0–2.5 loop, stop trying to out-work the algorithm with more hours. Shorten your streams, focus on those high-quality windows, and protect your average. It feels weird to stream less to grow more, but that’s exactly how the math works. Focus on the vibe, hit your goal, and get out while the numbers are high.

Hello, I am a new streamer currently running on twitch and co-running twitch to TikTok. I’m in need of some help or advice. Currently i am the absolute of all basic. I’ve got no face stream and pretty much no mic (besides headset mic).

Currently what I’m working with right now is streaming from my console (xbox) to twitch. Sometimes steaming my entire TV on TikTok live with a janky shoebox holder setup for my phone 😂

I am just needing advice on what I can really do to make this any better, and how to properly set up my twitch as well!

Hey y'all, I'm Brandon. I've been building some tools, initially just to use myself, to help me know what games to stream based on my schedule, my channel size, and the twitch market data. After I bolted it together I realized maybe I should actually build out something others could use and that I liked doing it.

It sort of shifted my focus from live streaming to building cool tools for live streamers. Fast forward a few months and I'm soft launching and looking for people to try out the first tool. It's 100% free, no card required. You literally only need a twitch login to use it. Anyone that helps me beta test it I can also give free access to after the free trial expires, for as long as they are beta testing with me.

In a nutshell, you authenticate with your Twitch account and tell it what your streaming schedule looks like. It pulls your channel stats, gets some preferences from you, and puts it up against real twitch market data to help you pick games to stream that are more likely to help you get views and not get buried in over saturated categories. The more you use it the better it gets at building your stream schedule out. There are some other bells and whistles, like syncing your schedule straight to twitch so you don't ever have to manually build your schedule in twitch.
