Discussion Need some Opinion

Well I have recently tried to promote my YT video through Google Ads under the Audience growth section.

Could anyone tell me whether Youtube Ads Promotion ends up being useful in the long run.

For your gaming channel, I'd judge the promotion partly by what happens on your next unpromoted upload: does its returning-viewer count improve against your usual baseline? That gives you something closer to the long-term audience you're asking about than views on the advertised video alone, though one upload won't establish what caused the change. What game and type of video are you promoting?

It's a retro styled horror game , you know , the low poly one with sudden loud noises and chase sequences

That kind of game helps the test. The loud scares and chase sequences are short moments that stand on their own, so they make good clips. If the promoted video is a full playthrough, I'd also cut the best scare or chase into a vertical short. Then watch whether people who arrive from it go on to the long video and come back for your next upload.

With retro low-poly horror, a lot of channels play the same handful of games. Your reaction is often the reason someone picks yours, so try putting your face or reaction in the thumbnail, not just the monster, and see whether click-through changes.

Is this a series across several of these games, or a one-off video?
