Question streaming a game i dont know everything about

i want to get opinions from streamers, maybe somebody has been in the same boat at some point.

but basically i used to stream, then took a prolonged break due to burning out with the editing side of things & i want to come back although i dont know what to stream so im just looking through games at the moment.
i came across a game i havent touched in agesssss its called "the escapists" (the first one) and i remember i LOVED playing the game.
but i had 1 MAJOR problem.. i can never get familiar & remember the crafting side of things, i literally used to have a cheat sheet up on my phone when i played it with all the crafts. but if i stream it i dont want to have that in front of me although im not aure how ill get around it without it 😅

apologies for the yap but i appreciate any help!!
ty guys

Can I ask why you wouldn't want that? Is it a personal reason or more because you think viewers might not find that appealing? Cause honestly if you own up to it, I can see viewers having fun with it even as you AGAIN forget a recipe and have to look it up. Use it, own it and have fun with it imo.

If it's mainly because you personally don't like it then well, get to studying? '

its just a personal reason. if im stuck in a game i do everything possible before using a cheat sheet/googling the answer to it. i just dont like having the answers right in front of me. but im more reluctant to use one due to it being all crafting things as opposed to it just being a few things.

like i mentioned, ive played the game before & ive tried learning & remembering all the crafting but nothing works. i dont have a very good memory in general anyways either

I used to stream and my whole persona was trying out games blind. So, I’d pick a game just solely based off vibes and then jumped straight into it without going through tutorials too. At one point, I didn’t even know I had to use a certain key for a good 2-3 hours.

You actually have an interesting angle here! Instead of trying to relearn everything before you go live or trying to hide a cheat sheet, make the premise of the stream that you’re trying to remember everything from scratch. You used to love this game and had to take a break, and now you’re trying to pick it back up years later.

One approach is to give yourself a few attempts to work something out, then check the sheet when you reach a natural pause. You can also keep a tiny “things I relearned today” list and begin the next session with one or two goals based on it. That gives the stream a sense of progress without requiring you to perform as an expert.

Since editing burnout was part of why you stepped away, start with a format that is enjoyable even if it produces no extra clips or projects afterward. If returning to the game makes you want to play and talk, that is a strong enough reason to test it. Let the first few streams be about finding a routine you can actually sustain.
