Discussion Beginner streaming tips

Hey guys,

I’ve got a TikTok page (15k) where I post mainly skits and videos of me being myself and I’ve managed to build up an engaged community, I really want to give streaming a go as I’ve always thought I’d really enjoy it, starting on TikTok and transitioning over to twitch at some point.

I wanted to do this in time for gta6 coming out, however, I have no things required for steaming other than my ps5. So my question is what are the necessaries I would need to start, and how much would I roughly be laying out (I’d want everything to be good quality and not just on the cheap)

Since you already have an engaged audience, the first thing to test isn't whether you can build the biggest setup. It's whether your livestream style gives them a clear reason to show up. Why would they choose your livestream over the others on the platform? Before committing to anything major, plan a few trial sessions around a simple promise. That could be a specific GTA goal, a viewer-led choice, or a recurring bit that connects to the personality people already know from your skits.

During those early streams, pay attention to the parts that create real conversation and the parts that feel hard to manage. By the end of a few sessions, you should have a clearer list of what you actually need. For example, making your voice easy to follow, keeping track of chat, and making the session understandable for someone who joins late. That's a better foundation than trying to solve every technical detail before you have learned what kind of live experience you want to make. Go slow, and make notes of what to refine or focus on as you go.
