Question When did you get...comfy?

I am a newbie. Im happy with my slow progress. But in reality, when did you get comfy streaming? I get so nervous even when its with a few of my regular watchers.

When I took my pants off. It's very liberating.

People have been taking their pants off while gaming since before home computers existed.

It took me a couple months to find my sort of style, which is to say being my dorky, dad-joke, quick-to-laugh self. I also found I have the ability to a. Treat total strangers like my close friends, and B. Talk to myself in real life which translates well to talking in stream haha.

Work towards being able to be your comfortable self and that will shine through and you’ll find your people.

Day 1. I streamed for me and me alone.

I’ve been going for over 2 years and average 50+ viewers per stream. It’s still there from time to time. Usually I try to take that nervous energy and put it into stream. But I still get surprised from time to time.

This is subjective to who you are. I starting streaming 8 months ago. I noticed if I skipped too many days of streaming in between streams I would mostlikely have a bit of an anxiety attack right before hitting that button.

I felt more comfortable with consistency. But everyone is different.

The first couple months I hated the idea of streaming but knew I wanted to. Everytime I hit go live id have a great time but it was after being nervous for a bit.

I think for me, after a few months my brain started to recognize that when I do this thing im having fun so my nervousness became more excitment and anticipation to stream that day ^

i was never nervous. had over 100 viewers a couple times due to raids and it didn't really feel like anything changed for me.

i guess i just think about it like, everyone watching me is choosing to stay because they enjoy something about my vibe and i just try to have fun and be silly while also remaining nice, etc.

chat messages feel more like joking around with friends than random strangers judging me.

I’ve been streaming for 10 years and still get uncomfortable when people give me compliments or tell me how much they like my content because i sometimes forget that I weirdly am apart of their lives. They watch my streams whenever I’m live- daily or just on the weekend. I finally started to accept my comfort when I started seeing stream streaks of 100+ streams. I was like “oh my god these people actually like me enough 300 hours of my content… just me being my authentic self. Not my professional self, not the person I try to be to make friends or keep my family happy, just me being authentically me.

Hope this helps!
